I have this program installed on my other computers and it is still performing well on them. But it just stopped working on my new HP laptop. I am not sure why. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and it won't work. I get a information box saying that Movie Studio has stopped working. I don't know if it is because my new computer is running Windows 10.1 or what? It was working at first but now it doesn't. So if you purchase this product this could perhaps happen to you.
Update: Last night I used this program to make a movie/video of a song I wrote. I had no problem using Movie Studio to edit my footage into a video, but then, when it came time to upload it to YouTube, it wouldn't let me do it. Here's how it goes. Once you finish your video you click on "Make Movie" at the top of the screen. That takes you to a screen that let's you choose YouTube, Facebook or Download to your hard drive. I chose YouTube and that screen came up. I filled out all of the information required and was ready to start the render, but the upload button wasn't highlighted, or simply wouldn't work. It was unavailable. I am no novice to this program and I still can't understand what is wrong with this Sonny Movie Studio 13.0. I tried this about 5 times and I couldn't get the "upload" button to work. Then to add insult to injury, I went to their help page that you can only get to by going to their website. There is no option for technical support, only a number for sales and said for non-tech questions, you should call between 9:00am and 4:00pm EST. I live in the central time zone and it was 10:00am here when I called, hoping that their sales dept could connect me with someone in tech support. I called and got a message saying to call back during those business hours listed above. I was within that time frame, but no one was there to pick up the phone, no way to leave a message for a call back, NOTHING!!! I was finally able to upload my video to YouTube by first choosing "download to hard drive" from the "Make Movie" menu. Once I did that, my video began to render and I was able to do the upload. My advice is find a different program to make your videos and upload them to YouTube. If I could get a hold of someone at Magix, the company who sells this product, I would ask for my money back!!!
