So the box came in very beaten up. The seal was also broken at one end of the box with a label saying no refunds on open boxed software... i didn't even open it yet and now can't verify that what I bought is actually in the box. What else to do but hope nothing is wrong with the activation key.
Logged into fruity/image line website and registered the software using the key and it worked! Everything was recognized as advertised: Fruity Producer Edition with Signature bundle, academic version. No complaints here. Cheaper than buying the full version but I'm not monetizing currently so have no need to pay extra. Would recommend if you want the signature bundle. It costs $49 to add the non-academic version if needed which is still cheaper.
