I was hesitant to get this because of some of the bad reviews. But I went ahead & got it & had absolutely no trouble with it. I've been making my own cards for years now & this Hallmark program has so much content & choices, really helps me to personalize my cards. It did take the cd a little long to install on my laptop, but the directions were easy to follow & connected to my printer easily. Definitely worth the money in my opinion.

I had the older version running on Windows 7 and loved it. When I upgraded my computer Hallmark Card Studio would not run on Windows 11 so I replaced it with the latest version. While this program is easy to use there are features that I used all of the time on my old version that are not available in this version.

As an artist, I like to make cards using my original artwork and verses. Unlike the older version there is no blank card option in the Art Studio. Instead I have to choose a card with minimal graphics and delete them individually to get a blank card front. I have to do the same on the inside before I can type in my own verse. I really dislike not being able to delete the Card Studio logo on the back. I can understand having it there if you use their cards but I don’t think that I should be forced to have it on the back of cards that I designed instead of being able to use my own logo.

Wow! AWESOME!!!

At the very start, I was nervous as a review said the program would not download. I was nervous as well when the progress bar did not budge. I just left the computer and came back in 15 minutes and it was ready for the second disc to be inserted. Patience paid off and proved my initial fear was incorrect. Stay calm and give it time - there is much data to download and the progress bar doesn't just jump into action - as I expected it would. Once into the program and using it, it is stellar!!!!! I am amazed at where you can go and what you can do. WOW!

NOT GOOD if you want to create card from scratch

If you're just planning to use their ready-made cards, then this software will probably do just fine.

But for my needs, I prefer to create cards and other projects from scratch. I've used an older version of this software for many years. And it was great - intuitive to use, yet giving you a lot of flexibility and control. Although I'm still familiarizing myself with it, this "new & improved" version seems to have eliminated most of that functionality. For example:
- The older version allowed you to easily add various line-style borders to text and picture boxes, change their style, thickness, color, etc. You could also add fill colors and effects to text boxes. If it's in this version I have yet to find it (their help menus has proved quite useless in trying to find these features).
- The older version allowed you to use various fonts and text colors for different lines in one text box. If you want to do this in the new version, you have to use a different text box for each new font. This of course makes it harder to center/align everything easily.
- The older version had tools that let you easily move objects object to the front or back of layered objects. None of this in the new version.

If you're using one of their ready-made cards, then it's quite reasonable for the Hallmark logo to appear on the back of the card. Bur this version put's their logo there even on the cards I create from scratch (the old version didn't do this). And there's no way to get rid of it.

Guys, great job at making a formerly great program LESS FUNCTIONAL.
I truly regret having purchased this software.

I have used a card program on my computer for many years. The program I was using ceased to work when I had to upgrade to Windows 10. I was not happy to lose the use of my old card software and dreaded having to learn how to use a new one. It was a good surprise to find that the new program is very user-friendly. When using my old software, I had to insert the appropriate disc to make different cards. This new program has downloaded all of the images onto my computer and I never have to insert a disc. I love being able to access all of the images automatically. It only took me a few minutes to figure out how to use the new program. I hope to use it for many years to come. It was a good purchase!

I like the older version because I’ve been using it for years but when you go to windows 10 it does windows 10 doesn’t like the gold format so it is what it is you go with what they’ve got I had to order this twice due to Walmart not changing their stock. As far as the program goes it works as advertised just don’t order the the free stuff they Albert advertise because it sucks.

I have wanted to make my own cards for a long time. So I ordered this during the 2020 Covid-19 Pandemic so I did not have to go out and purchase cards. It has proven to be a good purchase and I use it to make all my cards now ... the only feature I dislike is if I want to make an image (JPG) of the card to email it only makes an image of three parts (Front, inside LHS, inside RHS) ... the back of the card is not included. But otherwise does all I need. I have not tried the label making portion of program (already had another program I use).
