Now, I haven't used Print Shop in ages, so perhaps that explains my positive review amidst so many negative ones - but I have had a great experience with this product. Granted, I wouldn't have purchased the product except that I needed to open sig extension files that I created 6-7 years ago in Print Shop (though I don't remember the version), and this product fulfilled that need. However, now that I have the product, I will definitely be using it again for other printing needs. So, it would appear that if you have used more recent versions of PS, this one might be a let down, but it is more than sufficient for my needs.

(By the way, an employee of the company named Jason Carver is commenting on some of these reviews offering his assistance with the product. I wrote to him before my purchase and he was very helpful - including sending a link to information about the need to reformat some older documents opened in this version (something I did have to do with my documents, but it only took a few moments to fix them up) - so if you have the product or are considering it, you may want to contact him....look for reviews with a comment from him for his email address.)

The interface is understandable and easy to use, I can create my projects without frustrations and without having to use tutorials to get things done. I recently made a flyer for my complex for our monthly community meal, and it came out just the way I wanted it to. Printshop is the best. There was some hesitation while using it, but nothing to get in a tizzy about, was sometimes a little slow to respond when importing a picture or clip art, other than that I am quite pleased!

NOT Trustworthy and Product doesn't work.

I will gladly fix my review if Encore will actually HELP me out with my issue. I should have just not even trusted this purchase in the first place since it has absolutely no reviews to go by. I guess I'll be the first. DON'T buy this digital product. I bought it and when i went to install it i immediately got an error message saying that my token expired. I tried all the troubleshooting solutions and nothing worked. I then tried to contact amazon and they told me that i needed to contact Encore Software. So i went to their site and the first issue lies in even figuring out how i can talk to support. They were open, it was 2pm and their customer service said it closed at 4pm but there were no associate available to even talk to. Then I tried to "create a ticket for order support" which failed miserably because the email response i got from that was basically,"we understand that you lost your activation code and want to retrieve it, but we cannot access your order to retrieve it for you so you need to contact amazon." WHAT? I never said i "lost" my activation code, ever. What made things worse? The email is set so that i cannot respond to it, so i was back to square one again. I tried installing this software on two different computers and two different network connections and got the same exact error message. I tried to contact them for help and their horrible system gave me no solutions. So now i've wasted $50 bucks and had to actually purchase another copy from a different site because having the program was urgent, so i had no choice. Don't waste your money.

Disappointing

I have used Print Shop for years and loved it - until, as I started upgrading computers, it stopped working well. I kept updating Print Shop as older versions quit working with my current computer. I am now up to Windows 10 and, of course, the version of Print Shop I had did not work correctly with it. I searched online and read bad review after bad review of Print Shop's latest efforts. I tried to find an alternative without success. I was able to do a lot of things I needed to do with Publisher but not everything that I could formerly do with Print Shop. I recently visited some discussion groups looking specifically for a version of Print Shop that would work with Windows 10. The consensus seemed to be that The Print Shop 4.0 was what I needed so I ordered it. After being installed it seemed to be working but almost immediately I had problems with it not wanting to open. I clicked on the shortcut - nothing. I pulled it up in its folder and clicked to open it - nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled with short lived success. I have now installed it three times. It has opened from the short cut two times in a row now which is encouraging but I don't think I should have to cross my fingers and say a little prayer every time I try to open it. I have looked at online help for solutions but most of things suggested to fix this problem are ridiculously complicated. After researching to find a version of Print Shop that will work on my computer I don't think I should have to fix it before it will work. As far as the program itself, It works fairly well. It has some weird idiosyncracies in how to use it that could have been made so much more intuitive but I am gradually figuring it out - when I'm not busy reinstalling it to get it to work.

Newer is not better.

I had the older version and used it quite successfully and quite often when I had XP. My new computer had 10 and the old program no longer worked on it. Ordered this newer version and first had a difficult time getting it to load. Never did load successfully from the disk (I like having the disks when possible) but was finally able to load it using the download. Then, discovered that it had LESS options and functions than did the previous and older version. Example being business cards. Virtually all my business card blanks are 10-card sheets and the older version had several Avery options for business cards. This new version had only two blank card sheets, and both 8-card sheets. Ran into that problem, but to a lesser extent, on labels. Newer is not better.

I've used PrintShop 23.1 for quite a few years and loved it. Now with Windows 10 I had to buy new software so I can continue creating my own greeting cards, etc. I chose The PrintShop Deluxe 4.0 because it was the only one that allowed files from PrintShop 23.1 to be opened. It's okay but nowhere near as user friendly as the older version.
