    I used PS 12 for many, many years and had no issues with it at all. But, it simply stopped working in my computer this past month or so...I had to buy another one cause I make greeting cards and use it constantly. Well, PS 3.5 is ok but it has taken me a long time to maneuver through it - not as user friendly as the old PS but I guess that's called progress. Seems to have all I need, I just had trouble finding it!

    I got a new computer which uses Windows 8. My old trusted PS version was NOT compatible. The reviews that I read were mixed but I use this program a lot for crafts, scrapbooking and school projects (I'm a teacher). So I took the plunge and ordered it. It works great but the new interface has a learning curve that I'm still working on. I've been a Print Shop user and have purchased all the upgrades since the 80's when the program first came out on "floppies". I give this a thumbs up! I have not encountered any problems.

    I've been using Print Shop for years and always found it easy to use....but the new Print Shop 3.5 Deluxe is almost impossible.

    I installed it first on my Win 7 desktop and it crashed just after I tried starting a new project. I was able to open some of my older projects, but the format was off in several of the greeting cards I previously created. The only projects that opened correctly were label projects. I closed the program and restarted and with nothing else running opened the program. I started a new greeting card project and tried to import photos, the program would shutdown. I restarted the program and tried again, when I tried to edit the photo the program told me the photo was to large and would crash the program and reported I should save the project before editing. I did that. This program should not work this way. The old program would not crash if I opened multiple projects and this one can barely have one project open and it crashes.

    For the benefit of the doubt, I installed the program on a new Win 8.1 laptop. It took awhile to open, with no other programs running. I was able to open a project, but when importing photos had the same issue as Win 7, the program told me the photo was too large and to close other programs, and save my project before continuing. I tried copying the photos I wanted directly into the project and the program would choke and close. When I finally completed a card project and wanted to print, the print screen would not allow me to print just one page of the project. I closed the program and re-opened it, then opened another project a photo calendar. I opened an existing classic photo calendar template, and made changes and saved it. I selected print preview, it reported it "could not render project" I closed the program again, reopened it and my project. I was now able to preview, but the options for print range are grayed out. I only wanted to print the first two pages, to test the project. I also noted when making changes there isn't an UNDO/REDO option available. This program is a memory hog, not at all like the original Print Shops of past.

    I'm giving this program 1 star because it crashes constantly.
    I ordered and tried Print Shop Deluxe 3.0 in 2011, but returned it because the new interface was clunky and the program slow. I was hoping that this new release would have resolved some of those issues, but found it not the case. The program needs some work.

    I'm going to open a request with Encore support, but I think they have some work to do before I can give it better recommendations.

    Print Shop 3.5 is an excellent program. It is a bit more difficult to work with than other print programs I have used and there are some things that it won't do, but overall, I am quite satisfied with the program. I would recommend Print Shop Deluxe 3.5 to anyone who uses the Windows 8 platform.

    I keep believing what Broderbund says about a printing software "UPGRADE". But this is not. Read the reviews, Broderbund/Encore. Everyone enjoys the older Printshop versions so much more (versions 23.1 and 20). Pay attention! 3.5 requires lots of concentration and brain power to learn how to use, even more to go back and forth for tutorials on how to operate every darn function....and output is inferior to Printshop 23. save you time and money - go for the earlier versions.

    I had an old print shop program for over 10 years but when I got my new computer with Windows 10 on it it didn't work anymore. Since I was so pleased with the old one and familiar with it's use I figured I would try this one. I had looked and looked for one that said it was compatible with Windows 10 at a reasonable price and this one fit the bill. The install was easy but when I went to open up the program it said : the program cannot read from the database. I searched and searched on line since it was past the "chat" time on Broaderbund and finally found a solution. It said to go from start screen - search this pc and double click on it. Then double click hard drive C. Double click the user folder. Double click the user name folder. Double click AppData. AppData wasn't there so I had to go to control panel, appearance and personalization, folder options, then the tab view. Under advanced settings, click show hidden files, folders and drives and then click apply. After I did this then I went back to where I was before and clicked the appData, local folder. Located the print shop folder, double click on it. Clicked the userData.psDB file to highlight it then delete. Click yest to move the file to the recycle bin, empty the recycle bin. Then I had to close windows and restart my computer for this to take effect. There were other problems I had when printing - had to change printer selection to get it print but that's another story. Found out you have to save file before printing too. Anyway, after all that the program seemed to work well - just wish it was easier to get it up and running.

    I just got it and so far I like it. I am trying to decide if I like having the clip art online (i think) or on discs like the previous printshop I had. It seems to take a little longer to me, but I will know more as I use it. I have always loved Printshop in the past and I am sure I will love all the new features as I need/learn them. I make all my greeting cards and address labels for myself, family and friends. It is such fun to really personalize stuff instead of having what everyone else has.
