I have used movie studio 14 for years and when my laptop crashed i had to get a new editing software so I decided to upgrade and ordered this. First thing is I thought I was ordering a hard copy...Nope all you get is a booklet telling you how to download it After going through all the hassle of waiting on a slow download and installing it all that happens is a start window comes up saying its loading and nothing else. The only support you can get it via community FAQ or by email. I emailed them the day I installed it and its been 7 days and still haven't got a response. I will be returning it and going with a different software all together.

Terrible! They changed everything!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!! I've been using Movie Studio since it was on version 11. Each version gets worse. I stopped updating and went back to 11 even though I had 3 newer versions. I had to update because I needed a new computer. 11 and 13 wouldn't work properly on windows 11. So I tried this. HOLY FRUSTRATION!!!!!!!!!! SO ANNOYED. It's taking hours to get nothing done. Nothing is intuitive. It's so terrible, I stopped my project for work and am review this POS on every available avenue. MOVIE STUDIOS GO BACK TO 11!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Several years ago Sony sold all of its video editing software to a German company called MAGIX Software GmbH. Magix offers this software at modest cost (along with upgrades for former Sony Movie Studio users). Unfortunately, the software is entirely different and not an upgrade at all. The user interface is klunky and and the program is full of bugs (good luck updating or trying to uninstall it without using a third-party utility). If you purchased the software, you may be able to return it within 14 days (refer to the company's Terms and Conditions).

Shouldn't have upgraded to this from Vegas Platinum Pro

Upgraded from Vegas Platinum Pro because this was the next level up. I have fought with this software for over a year and have now deleted it from my system and purchased something else. The support documentation and tickets are a joke. It has lost a lot of the user friendly tools. The youtube videos when you google for help or tutorials just loop you back to the older version of Vegas Pro ....which uses those user friendly tools and not the current setup. Save your money. Buy something else.

Won't Open Old Projects. Constantly Crashes.

I bought MS2022 because MS2017 kept crashing and couldn't render a 4K video I spent twenty hours editing. Lo and behold, MS2022 can't even open old projects!!!! Then, MAGIX hides behind "it's on our forum" like customers are supposed to go digging for fine print before purchasing.

There is no passion to make this product any good. Don't waste your money.
