Do I have to get the camera or can I take a picture with my phone or another camera and bring it in to the template?You can easily drag and drop any standard image file into the Cardholdir ID design software or import it. When using a connected webcam, the photo can automatically import into the design template though and save a few seconds per card. This setup is great when issuing badges on demand at a badging station. |
Can the Cardholdir ID Software be installed on more than one computer?Cardholdir ID works with an activation code that is good for 1 workstation for sending print jobs. However, other users can download the software to create designs, etc to share. Additional licenses can be purchased. Cardholdir ID is a one time purchase with no reoccurring fees. |
Can I print a Barcode? Can this print QR Codes?Yes, Cardholdir ID Beginner Software comes with the ability to create and print 1D barcodes onto the ID cards. 1D barcodes are the flat, rectangular barcodes that most people think of in terms of barcodes. The Cardholdir ID Standard software also adds the ability to create and print QR codes. |
Can I import ID card information that I already have saved?The Beginner version only allows for manual entry of information into the template or in the internal database. If you want to connect to an outside database to import info, you will need a higher version of the software. The STANDARD version enables an Excel database connection for example. Even higher versions of Cardholdir ID can connect to MS Access, ODBC, and more. You can upgrade from any version at any time, prices vary. |
