I downloaded Quicken Basic and upgraded from Quicken 2013. However, after starting the program , Quicken Basic gave an error that I was not connected to the Internet. All of my other programs have no problem connecting to the Internet. Also, I tried everything on the troubleshooting list, no help! Checking the Quicken Community, I found that other people are having the same problem. I feel that Quicken should should refund my payment, or give me an upgrade on a CD/DVD-ROM. Incidentally, the problem I am having is an ongoing problem that has no solution as of yet.

I purchased Quicken Classic Starter for New Subscribers. (digital download) Been a user of Quicken for a long time. Not a power user, just use it for account tracking / downloading. So that part I'm happy with. Maybe this will help someone, as it wasn't immediately obvious to me. I had let my subscription lapse, and wanted to renew. Wasn't sure if "new subscriber" would be a problem since the system would know me from before. But I used the activation code provided with the 'new subscriber' purchase and everything worked fine.

If you don't pay new year it is supposed to stop from downloading files but is supposed to work without that function. However, program won't work unless you pay. Scam

The features are missing from the previous version of quicken, such as checkbook register with 5 columns
