I bought this product, and I thought there was an issue since it was unlicensed, and NCH requested to buy the software. However, I realized that there was an activation code that was required, and this was included within the purchase. Also, details on how to use this code were included, so overall, all my issues are resolved.

I was unable to import standard audio file formats, *.mp3 and *.wav in my case. The program appeared to solely use the proprietary *.voxal file format. I downloaded the recommended file format converter software from the Voxal website, and again from Amazon, but both times, the converter software would not install, stating that it was not compatible with my system (Windows 10, which runs everything else just fine.) I ended up completing my video project using another, free, voice changer software.

I downloaded this software to make different character voices for my videos. It did work with the video software the first time I used it, but I have never been able to make it function since. The workaround is to record my voice and then use Voxal to alter the file. That works for some character voices but not others. As you can see in my video, some files will only partially edit. Many of the voices are not usable to me. They simply do not sound very good. We can edit them, but I want preset voices. If I wanted to edit voices manually, I'd simply use the audio software that came with my video editing suite.

Besides the problem making my mic work concurrently with Voxal, the software installed a bunch of other software I simply do not want. Windows 10 does not give my a simple way of deleting those programs. I am assuming I would have to uninstall Voxal to uninstall those programs.

If I could find something else that works better, I would. I do use this for now, which is why I give it three stars.

I haven't been able to use it in any applications. difficult to understand and not user friendly.

Hard to use this program. I seem to be charged ~$8 monthly to this day... Didn't see that disclaimer before purchasing this software. Be careful.

love it cept it does not have a record option to use when testing different sound effects it is made to run through apps that support a mike but they also connect you with tons of usefull sound apps that will record while using this.. you can take almost any audio file and render it to a totally new sound after you test it in the "preview" button it is fast and I use it to give music a "new" style and sound" GREAT job NCH guys!!

I am writing a voice book (adventure story) So I need different characters voices some of the men are easy but the women voices are hard to tune in with out a synthesized sound.. it is posable to do I got one to sound okay for what I'm doing but I need 2 more I think if I spend a few me hours I can get one more.. I doing the free version and I would hate to pay for the upgrade and it may work the same ?? this is the best I can tell you fir now..
