I needed this OS (Windows XP) to run an old program I had (Mathematics Complete). I am getting back into Engineering and I need to bring my Math Skills back up to par. I used Mathematics Complete when I was in college and it helped me a lot. The problem is that the program will not run on Windows 10 even under compatibility mode. Therefore I needed Windows XP. As I remembered XP still was a hassle to load in that after loading it, the OS required activation, but the software arrived on time and was not a problem to run Mathematics Complete. Yes, I am using it on a Virtual Machine (VirtualBox).

There is no box, there is no jewel case. Disc comes in paper envelope. I don't think the instruction manual and the disc are the same thing.. The instruction manual were for setting up a network, The disc was suppose to install Windows XP. I have a brand new straight out of the box hard drive, The "Windows XP" disc said it had a virus and shut down the install. and SUPPORT... forget it they won't return your phone call.

Wish Windows XP OEM disk was more compatible to newer and older versions of the OS. 16 bit, 32 bit, or 64 bit, OEM disks should have a feature that adapts. Will have to buy a new PC. But seems a shame that there are probably mechanically sound laptops with a corrupted software setting on closet shelves that could still be performing useful work.
