I have never been a fan of Printshop, but my wife has.
She has enjoyed the creative side of her, through birthday and holiday cards, and other events with posters and flyers.
Her complaint, and mine, was the number of disk required to use the older version of Printshop, and the quality of some of the graphics.
We were using Printshop on an older computer with a very old but reliable printer. When we purchased a new computer, we found that the old printshop program wouldn't load due to conflict of 32 bit vs 64 bit.
Time to upgrade the Printshop program by going on line to see what was available. Plenty of older software and cheap.
Went to good old , AMAZON, and found a more current upgrade, that would work on her new computer according to the sellers info.
By the way, you only get a disk, not any operating or instructional manual. Insert the CD in your disk drive and follow the instructions.
Installed with out a hitch. Was able to load the complete program on the hard drive, and connecting this program with the internet was seamless .
So before I had my wife try it out, I gave it a spin to make sure it loaded correctly and there were no issues with the install and printer connectivity..
WOW...I really enjoyed using and creating a card. There are a bazzillion ready to use graphics of a much higher quality then the older software, and many, many categories to select from. Plus, as in older versions, you can insert your own photos and graphics.
My wife has since began using it as a part of her business as well as personal use. From birthday cards to flyers that she mails out to her customers. She is very happy and as the saying goes, "when she is happy, I am happy."
This is a pretty good program whether your a novice or advanced user. As a matter of fact I think it can be an added tool for the professional.
I think using Printshop with your children or grandchildren, at the keyboard, would be a great way to spend quality time and at the same time educating them as well. There seems to be a greater satisfaction when creating a card vs buying one.
I'm impressed with this version of print shop and definitely recommend it.
