    No holes in it this far, so that means no leaking. It's easy to clean. Fits great in our freezer without taking up any room. Perfect to put in a lunch box to keep food or drinks cool. Nice to have on hand incase you need to use for your body incase you get hurt.

    I must concur with many previous reviewers — there's a distinct trade-off between form and function, here, but Fit & Fresh Cool Coolers are a good solution for the right applications.

    Fit & Fresh's Cool Coolers are perfectly sized to include in a sandwich box or cram into a tight lunch pack, but because of their small size and the high ratio of surface area to interior, they do thaw faster than many "ice brick" products. That's worth considering when you're packing your food.

    That said, I am still quite happy with them. My husband, a physical therapist who specializes in clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities, travels quite a bit on some days to meet his clients at their day centers. His lunches may sit in a hot car for most of the day, so keeping them cold is a priority. I pack his lunches in a well-insulated soft-sided baby bottle cooler (Childress brand, from Amazon — I bought it specifically to use as a lunch box because of its shape and excellent insulation); he puts one of these cooler bricks in before he leaves in the morning.

    He likes hot lunches, so any leftovers presumably are still warm when he puts them back in the bag.

    A single Cool Cooler brick will be thawed but still cold when he returns home; leftovers, too, will be cold. That suggests better staying power than I'd expect.

    In short, I wouldn't rely on one of these to cool food in an uninsulated bag all day, though I imagine you can increase cooling time by adding more Cool Coolers, if you have room. They are not quite as effective as thicker ice bricks.

    However, they fit nicely into tight spaces where rocket bricks don't and will keep food at a safe temperature inside an insulated bag for several hours. They also don't take up much space in the freezer, which is nice.

    I have three boys who take their lunch to school every day, and we have tried many different cold packs over the years. These are my favorite for several reasons.
    1- Shape and slim design that fits any lunchbox. Two of my boys have Nike lunch boxes that are not deep, and the shape of this pack allows me to fit their drink and lunch items in the lunchbox easily. I like that it is flat (rather than the type that are the small rectangular or cube shape that fit in the bottom) because it seems to distribute the cool to everything in the lunchbox rather than only keeping the things at the bottom cold.
    2- Clean up. Maybe it's a boy thing, but sometimes they don't pack things up nicely after they eat lunch, so when they get home and unpack them after school, there is oily salad dressing or mushy watermelon everywhere. These ice packs clean up easily because of the flat design, and no raised lettering that bread crumbs get imbedded in between.
    3 - Fast freeze. I have had packs in the past that when I pull them out in the morning they haven't completely frozen overnight.
    4 - Price. I like to have a lot of ice packs on hand because in addition to 3 lunches a day, we pack snacks and sometimes dinner to take to practices. Again, maybe it's a boy thing, but we seem to lose an ice pack every couple months (my 6th grader and his friends play "shuffleboard" on the lunch table with them after they are done eating, so who knows where they end up). If you have to replenish your supply, these are a great price for four ice packs.

    I bought these to go inside my cat's water fountain to help keep her water cool in the summer. These are absolutely perfect! For reference, I have one of those square flower type ones. The hole in the middle of these ice packs fits beautifully around the stem, and the square size fits great in the fountain without getting in the way of the water flow. She's drinking more water because it's not room temperature anymore and I couldn't be more pleased
