This is an official size ball. It smells like leather and feels like it also. Very nicely made with embroidered logos, not just painted on.. colors are spot on.. decent price for a beautiful ball. It's not really meant to be played with, but it would hold up fine, in my opinion. It's a bit slippery if not grabbed properly. You need to have your thumb on the brown textured pigskin part, and then you can play catch with it. Perfect for a display piece with autographs..
