I purchased the POM Pepper Spray after I saw a Youtube video where a firearms defense instructor I respect recommended it as an appropriate to fill the space which he calls "Between a harsh word and a gun."

The top/actuator design is genius. The spring loaded cover stays firmly in place to protect against accidental discharge, but it is very easy to slip your thumb under it and deploy the spray if you need it. I've had other sprays where you had to push a piece to the side to be able to push it down. Those other sprays occasionally slid into the "ready to spray" position when inside my pocket. I've never had a POM do that.

Also, the size and color (black) does allow me to slip it into my hand and for it to go unnoticed if I have reason to be cautious as we're out walking. I've bought these a few times, and recommend to friend and acquaintences.

Great designed, light weight, great safety. Thankfully I didn't forced to use it, I don't know when and don't know where if I use it and could save my life , I will finish my review and will give fifth star.

The small form factor makes it more covert. Yet, it is easy to deploy, even with the safety cover on the button. On top of that, it is very affordable. I would highly recommend the POM pepper spray to everyone!

I like the cover lip on the top. Feels safer to carry around my little one. The others swivel open very easy, this one opens different, and it’s just a little harder for little fingers to figure out.

I've carried one of these, every day for almost 2 years. It's always in my LF Pocket.

Pocket clip makes it indexable.

Flip top safety has never failed or accidentally discharged

Inside 15 feet, it's easy to hit the target.
Practice-drawing-repetition is important
(It would be easy to draw this device with a finger covering the nozzle and pepper spray yourself)

This little canister can quickly neutralize a threat (animal or human) long enough to make a safe retreat or get the upper hand.

It's cheap insurance.

Product was physically smaller than what I expected. But that's a good thing because
it's easier to fit in pockets. I just hope it has the number of sprays as advertised.
