5.0 out of 5 stars Only worn a few hours, but I love them!

2nd time I have bought this type of glove, Duerer in black, fits a little tighter than my first version-the Imak brand.Actually a good thing, as I have lost 50#, and Imak was not as tight as needed. SO, this Duerer brand is a tighter fit, and feels great.
I may shorten the fingers. I wanted half-fingers but couldn't find this style with shorter fingers. They are too long when I crochet, but to keep hands warm, they are perfect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Helps when typing in the winter
Reviewed in the United States on February 10, 2022
In this age of increasingly insane weather, I got these to keep my hands relatively warm while using a computer in January. They aren't as toasty as the thick knitted ones my wife had loaned to me, but they're far less bulky.

Our house is poorly insulated in the ceiling and around the windows, so I feel like running the heater in the winter is especially wasteful if we can keep warm by bundling up. Furthermore, since the weather here fluctuates so much that running the heater at night could mean needing the air conditioner in the afternoon, I've found that just dressing for the weather is the most effective way to stay comfortable.

Of course, when you have to spend much of the day typing, you're going to end up with cold hands in the winter. Gloves are great and all, but the warmer they are, the more they interfere with typing. These gloves are a great balance of warmth and dexterity. They make a noticeable difference in comfort with negligible impact on computer use. They're probably great for anyone working in an office environment where the thermostat always seems to be on the low side of what you consider comfortable.

I can't say much about their use for pain relief. I've had occasional pain in my hands due to carpometacarpal bossing (a big lump of bone on the back of my hand that irritates the tendons sometimes), but it's too intermittent to know whether the gloves are helping with that.

I haven't tried washing them yet, but they seem to be machine washable. They had a slight odor out of the package, but it faded quickly as they aired out.

In summary, the bottom line is that if you're looking for fingerless gloves so you can use your computer, phone, or tablet in cooler conditions -- high 50s to upper 60s (Fahrenheit) -- then these are the gloves for you. They're probably too thin for anything colder than that. I bought a second pair for my sister's birthday and she seemed to like them, but then, she might just be saying that to be nice (she's like that).

The color is just like the picture, or at least pretty close, decentquality. They've helped with pain when I'm crocheting but it takes a while to get used to them. They are pretty easy to wear and are nice, they aren't uncomfortable at all. They help keep my hands warm a little bit and I definitely think they were worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Relief!

I purchased a pair of the pink ones first then after trying them, I ordered another pair of pink and these gray ones. I use these daily. They've been very helpful with discomfort as I go about my day inside as well as working in the yard. They wash well by hand and the stitching is quality and holds the shape.

Keyboards have become less comfortable as I age and I've been having intermittent aches in my knuckles. After a day where the aching got so bad I had to call out of work early because I couldn't do my job, I decided to order these. They were on sale for $9, about equal to the price of a pair of compression gloves I saw in my local Walmart, but I liked the custom sizes as I have long, narrow hands and very skinny (wedding ring size 3.5 US) fingers.

Pros:
- Nice and snug around my knuckles, just as I wanted it to be.
- Doesn't hold moisture. I have seemingly permanently clammy hands because of hyperhidrosis, and while wearing these for a few hours I never noticed any dampness. Even accidental wetness from house chores didn't last long.

Cons:
- The thumbs are awful. The seam that rings around and between your thumb and fingers was a bit painful. Also, the thumb itself was very loose. Turning the gloves inside out did nothing to help ease the pain. I tried cutting out a notch in the area between my thumb and fingers, but that just created an awful pinching there on the webbing of my hand. Eventually I cut the thumb off entirely and that "solved" that issue, although now I expect this pair won't survive even a hand washing.
- The finger seams are uncomfortable as well. Not as bad as the thumb was, but the longer I had the gloves on, the more I became aware of an unpleasant pressure where they were. Turning the gloves inside out helps with this, but also substantially lessens the compression I get on my fingers.
- If you have a narrow wrist, there is absolutely no wrist compression. Not a deal breaker for me, but I thought worth mentioning.

I bought three pairs of these and I don't regret it, although had I bought them at full price this would be a different story. I probably won't be ordering them again though.
