    These towels really work and are life savers! I can't believe how well they work at keeping you cooler with just water. We have outdoor swim meets in Arizona in June and July. They are miserable, but these towels make it a little more bearable. We just put one around the back of our necaks and it makes everything better. Sometimes I'll even take an extra one and drape it on my arms to cool off as well. I really should buy these and sell them at the swim meet. I'd make a ton of money because everyone needs them.
    They are super easy to use just keep them damp. They do work better for our dry heat, not sure how well it would work if it were really humid. Had some friends come for denmark and they took some home because they liked them so much.i will never go through an arizona summer without these towels.
    I understand that the 1-5 star rating is to help both buyers and sellers. Here is a breakdown of how my 1-5 ratings are determined:
    5-star rating that means that I truly love that product and it has features that put it above and beyond what would normally be expected, and it is something that “wowed” me and I am truly glad I purchased it and would purchase it again. Also I recommend it to everyone and anyone!

    4-star ratings are items that do exactly as would be expected of the item, is of very good quality, but does not stand out significantly in any way unless I specifically state why it stands out. But all in all, this item is a solid item and is still highly recommended. It just didn’t have the wow factor that my 5 star ratings would have had.
    3-star ratings are given on items because my feeling about the product is neutral. I do not consider it a negative, but it just did not wow me, or there is nothing of great significance.
    1 or 2-star ratings are rarely given unless the item is completely worthless and not worth the money, and I am only giving that rating as a warning to others. Some items have received lower ratings because of the way they were made or put together, and it is getting that review because of the quality of the item, which is specifically described in my review. It has to be pretty bad to get these ratings from me!

    These towels are cold to the touch right out of the package. They are not simply a wet towel, they are a spongy material like a car drying chamois but as soon they’re wet they are cold and feel great. Kept me cool and more comfortable on a long hike in Arizona's high heat. They dry out after a while but keeping them wet and shaking them out works awesome and really helped me stay cool. Wear around your neck
    Or drape over your head for a nice cooling effect and blocks out the sun too.

    I got these specifically for my daughter during summer band camp. We live in the south and it gets really hot. They practice for hours outside and while they are very conscious of proper hydration and taking breaks, I wanted to give her a little something extra to help beat the heat. This helped her so much. It's easy to pack because it's not overly large and its lightweight. It has a weird texture but I'm sure that is so it doesn't mold in the case. This product is magic.

    As the title says, I sweat all day, wich means I'm in the heat all day, so if I'm telling you a product works to keep you cool, then it does. All the frog togg products are really good at what they do, wether keeping you cool, or rain gear keeping you dry. I have this cooling towel in green and blue. I keep a cooler with ice and water on my truck, and as I go throughout the day I dip the towels in it and sling it around my neck or over my head (under my hat) and it helps a lot to keep me from overheating. I always have one around my neck, even if it's not cold, because they are wonderful at soaking up sweat too! You can twist them and pop them to keep them cool, but that only works for a bit, then it's a sweat rag until I make it back to my truck. They are essential to what I do just as any tool would be. I see people complain about the texture (wich I happen to really like) but what difference does the texture make when it's keeping you cool? This is a great product at a fair price. Would and will buy again.

    This is one of the best things I’ve bought in the past 8 years! However, I’ve bought other ones (different colors) and seems like they were stiffer than my original yellow one.

    I read the negative reviews - yes, you could say they feel “slimy” but I prefer to say it’s a cool buttery feeling — but keeps me cool so that’s what matters.

    Yes, the color fades, and it can start to look old and beat up — but understand this is not a fashion accessory, people — this is blessed relief from the heat! (I live in the desert where we have 115 degree days). I’m not concerned that it doesn’t stay “pretty.”

    And yes - they dry very stiff - almost like cardboard - but honestly, who cares. And just understand that you aren’t going to be storing it in the original tube it came in, anyway. It will never be able to go in there dry - and if you put it on damp it will mildew. So just throw away the container, or recycle it. Wash and rinse the chilly pad and hang it in the bathroom or garage.

    I’ve lived in a couple of deserts (Mojave and also in the Middle East) and it’s been a lifesaver.

    Plus now — since I’m at the time of life I’m experiencing hot flashes, especially at night, I go to bed clutching my damp, cool chilly pad. In the middle of the night, if I’m too hot, I’ll throw the covers off and drape it over my neck - or my legs- or my shoulders - and pretty soon I’m chilly enough to put the covers back on.

    I LOVE THIS PRODUCT- I just hope this next one I buy is of the same quality as the original.

    Really - give it a try and don’t let people re-route you to another “fabulous” product because I try them all and this is still the best!
