Excellent Lighweight Hiking Shorts

Purchased these shorts for everyday, and occasional hiking and travel use. The features that I most like are the thin lightweight, quick dying stretchy fabric (barely stretchy) and the comfort it provides, expandable waist with belt loops (if you need to wear with a belt), These shorts are perfect for tropical environments but may not work for you if you live in colder climes say below 40 degrees Fahrenheit. Lots of zippered pockets to secure your stuff. Hand pockets are really shallow so you will have to use the thigh pockets which are deeper to secure your phone. Other reviewers have said they are wrinkly and I have to say they seem to wrinkle below bottom pockets but otherwise not bad in this respect.

As far as sizing, go with the size chart if you are in between go to next size higher to ensure proper fit. I have a 35" waist but had to go with XL size to ensure proper fit. They provide a little extra room but still form fitting due to expandable belt.

I own several pairs and I highly recommend these shorts and the brand itself.

I was a bit put off when I pulled these out of the bag, the packaging was very nice and they didn't come completely wrinkled, but they're so light, it feels like there's no fabric there but whatever these things are made out of they really do a good job of conforming, they fit perfect! And they are very comfortable there's plenty of pocket space, and after one wash all the wrinkles came out, and they held true. I was hesitant to buy them at first but I think I'll buy maybe one or two more pairs, different colors now that I actually put them on, as summer clothing goes you're not going to sweat in these. And I totally believe that if they got wet they would dry out very fast.

These are a very lightweight material. Almost uncomfortably thin. They are comfortable and look nice, but they do tend to wrinkle easily. They are quick dry material and it does what it’s supposed to.

Fantastic fit and comfort. Perfect update on the classic cargo short (which he’d been wearing for 15 years). So glad we found these as they keep him looking nice for golf or vineyards or summer weddings, while also keeping him cool and comfortable for fishing or hiking, and not compromising on the pickets we’ve come to depend on in the summer (my clothes don’t have much room for phones, wallets, keys, tickets, etc) The best value I’ve found on shorts like this.
He loves the cool, light fabric and length/style he’s used to, and I love the updated appearance and versatility. We bought multiple colors for different occasions. Great material for summer.

Absolutely love these shorts!

5-stars all around! I wore these shorts almost exclusively on a three-week trip across central Europe. They are awesome. They are lightweight which is great for packing. They are also super comfortable, both walking around for long periods of time and for sitting on transportation such as buses and trails. All the pockets are sizable and have zippers, which gave me a lot of confidence I was well protected against pick pockets. I was able to carry my wallet, phone, camera, and more with my back pocket unused. These shorts are awesome!

Nice Shorts, but....

These shorts are lightweight and seem to be well made.
I don't care for the zip up pocket in the rear. Wallet doesn't fit very well and if you sit on the zipper the wrong way it may poke you.
The inside of the waste button is metal and can be a bit uncomfortable at times when sitting.
Occasionally, the the pleats on the front pockets get snagged on cabinet knobs.

Purchased these for a trip to Italy and wanted lots of pockets with zippers. Could not believe the quality of these for the money. I wore three pair over the course of three weeks and felt quite secure. I was able to carry a wallet, cell phone, passports, keys, cash very comfortably and securely. What was a bonus was how light weight they were and wicked away moisture even on the hottest days. They were light enough to use as a swimsuit that dried quickly. With no access to clothes dryers, washing them in the sink and line drying them was a breeze. In addition, they roll up very small and take up little space in your luggage. Great value for the money!
