Great UV swimming/sports shirt

I bought this UV protection shirt for my husband who has very tanned arms, face and typical exposed skin areas, but his chest, shoulders and stomach are ghostly white. A day at the pool with the granddaughters, would have left those areas badly burned had he not covered them with this shirt. Its UV coverage was superb! After 3.5 hours in the hot Midwest sun (no additional sun screen applied) he walked away with no sunburn! He loved the fit, and silky feel of the shirt when it was wet or dry. He intends on wearing it for his other outdoor activities like mowing and yard work. The shirt dries quickly after it gets wet and doesn’t stick to his skin. He found the content of the material (polyester type) very comfortable, I believe the lack of cotton material had a cooling effect, and flattering to his hot Dad/Grampa bod.????

The material is thin so it wasn’t hot or constricting. I thought the long sleeves would make the shirt hot to wear in the sun but it was actually quite cooling! We were both quite happy with the shirt and plan on buying more. Great product!

To be fair I like these performance shirts from Baleaf. I ordered short sleeve ones for mountain biking and wanted long sleeves to protect me from poison ivy and briars. I am 6’2” and 260 pounds. I have larger shoulders and a larger chest with long arms. My stomach is equal to or a little smaller than my chest so the shirts hang off my chest and not on my stomach. The shirt does hang a little longer which I like because of riding. I like loose fitting clothes to help keep me cool and keep the dampness away from me as much as possible. I ordered 3x even though I wear 2x from local stores. This shirt was equal to the 2x size. I have gotten different sizes though. They always read 3x some are a little smaller and a some are a little bigger. This shirt feels good and the sleeves are good for me at a little longer. When I stand tall or ride and put my arms out my shoulders tend to pull the sleeves up my arms. That doesn’t happen on this shirt.
The shirts themselves are good quality for me. This shirt I have not owned long enough for a true test but the short sleeve version I have owned for a year now and they withstand the briars and snags on the trail. They have also made it through several wrecks and I still do not have any snags in the material. They have been washed quite a bit with no color loss and they still feel good. It is interesting that I wear them in 90 degree weather for several hours and they wick moisture nicely and they do not cause me to overheat. I also wear them in the fall, and they keep me fairly warm while I am riding. I wear them through 3 seasons, and they feel good across a lot of weather conditions. In and out of rain they dry quickly just like sweating in them.
I will most likely order this shirt again because I only have 1. I have not found any issues that I feel take away from the shirt. As always sizes are hit or miss on all clothing so I am not taking anything away from this shirt based on that. Too many people like different fits and feels from clothing.

Lightweight and comfortable for long days in the sun

I bought this for a snorkeling trip where I knew I would be in the water for hours at a time and didn't want to have to reapply sunscreen every 45 minutes. There is a bit of drag with the shirt so you obviously wouldn't want to have to swim long distances in it but it was great for snorkeling around the reefs and hanging out in the sun. It felt comfortable to wear in and out of the water and I was able to just wring it out when I got out of the water and then wear it around the beach while it dried.
I will probably buy another one for next summer since it worked really well and helped me save on sunscreen costs.

Great shirts. I'm really sun sensitive. Bought one of these and loved it, so I bought two more. Perfect weight material, great colors, easy wash and lots of compliments from family. A best buy in spf protective wear. Really nice fit.

Great for summer and winter. I love the fit and very comfortable. I'm 6'2 225 and the XL fits great. I got a bunch of different colors. They don't shrink.

I bought this for my husband to wear on a trip to Cancun. He is at higher risk f skin cancer from meds he has to take. He loved the comfort of the shirt. They were lightweight and did not absorb a lot of water. He loved the color (orange and blue), and he thought they looked great on him. So far they have held up under multiple washes. The colors have not faded. Most importantly, he did not get sunburned!!
