5.0 out of 5 stars Love this pasta roller!

I replaced my manual pasta roller with this one and WOW what a difference. It is SO much easier and a much quicker process than my manual roller. I’ve only had it a week and I’ve made pasta twice, as well as rolling out cracker dough yesterday. Attaches easily to my KitchenAid, easy to switch up and down the thickness, easy to clean, easy to store, and seems quite durable so I don’t anticipate any problems. I’ve also found a difference in how much flour I need in the rolling process and I need a much smaller workspace which is a big bonus in a small kitchen. Both cutters work well also. The price difference between this roller/cutter and the KitchenAid product is a big plus too. I make my own pasta due to intolerance issues and I foresee a lot more pasta dishes in our future. I love my new kitchen toy!

We had the old style pasta machine a long time ago and let it get away from us. Most likely I let my son have it when he moved out, then my two twin nephews moved in to go to school in our area. We require them to cook one night a week meaning I have two nights off deciding what's for dinner. The caveat that they can make what ever they want and I would teach them to best of my ability how to make anything they wanted to try. I've always been a make it from scratch kind of cook and think it's good for these young men to learn how to cook.

Of course one of them wanted to know how to make homemade pasta. My husband was all for buying a pasta machine again as long as he got some fresh ravioli out of the bargain. When we had the old school machine I was very reluctant to make ravioli because of the hassle. Once you made the sheets of pasta you had to lay them out place filling and top it with another sheet then seal the filling around eat ravioli before cutting them out. it was so time consuming. This definitely had a learning curve but for the most part this thing worked beautifully. Not only does it ease making the pasta since you don't have to use one hand to crank the machine while you are maneuvering the sheets of pasta through the rollers with the other but there is also a fairly good system for churning out the ravioli.

I also think this is pretty versatile as far as what it offers in the pasta you can make with it. You can make spaghetti, angel hair (you simple make the sheets thinner before cutting), lasagna noodles (you don't run the sheets through the cutter just cut the length), and ravioli.

As far as clean up I was a little reluctant about not being able to get the pasta roller wet but It cleaned up pretty easily too. Long story short this is definitely worth the money!

Update: I did try the pasta maker 3-in-1 (the seller was so kind to reach out to me, ask about my experience, they recommended I try the pasta make instead) and I’m glad I did and my mom did too. It was easy to use and easy to clean. We had a lot of fun making pasta for Easter Sunday and this 3-in-1 adapter did helped make it quickly. Much improved experience. This is our 2nd adaptor we tried (1st was the adaptor for making raviolis see below) we liked this adaptor so much more and it help us a lot. I would highly recommend this one for making spaghetti and lasagna bc it take and does almost all the work for me. My mom enjoyed it too and she couldnt believe how easy it was to change the width from thick to thin as we made and worked with the dough. We tried it out for Easter and everyone loved the pasta dinner. My mom can now make fresh pasta anytime just like when I was a kid. So I would recommend this especially if you like making pasta from scratch but don’t have the means to do all the hard work. Machine does almost all of it. It’s fabulous!

Originally review: I got the 3-in-1 ravioli's-THIS IS NOT THE MACHINE FOR ME. So my brother and I wanted to make ravioli for the family (including my mom who use to make us ravioli growing up but hasn’t in a long time because of all the work it takes) well this machine is a bit messy bc the exact amount has to be placed in the slot with the two pieces of pasta. My mom came in and saved the day and she placed the flatten pasta, placed a teaspoon of filling along the pasta every 2inches, then took water (dabbed it) and placed the other flatten pasta on top… boombadaboom used a knife to cut the ravioli. She made like 30-40 ravioli in 2min. My brother and I made 30-40 ravioli in 2hours using this machine. It’s difficult. My mom said her pasta machine is from Italy it has two parts: a flattener and the cutter for spaghetti. She’s used it for over 45years, super easy to wash and clean (made of stainless steal). For now I will borrow my Moms and use her old fashion ravioli technique to make amazing ravolis.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good pasta maker, okay pasta stand

The pasta maker was simple and quick to set up. The instructions were clear and really helped. The central roller ensured the dough was perfectly shaped for the spaghetti cutter. Cleaning was easy, and I look forward to using it again.

As for the spaghetti dryer/pasta stand, it's functional but has some drawbacks. It sits low on the table and lacks a swivel feature, which makes hanging the spaghetti a bit tricky. It gets the job done efficiently, but there are better options available.
