These are sturdy and large, providing lots of extra storage space and all at a great price. Installation is a little difficult of course because you are installing something on the ceiling. But the instructions were good.

Easy to open and install. My husband did it all by himself. It fits a lot but we also have a lot of junk. We will buy another one for the other side of the garage. Appearance is sturdy, and not bad to look at. You can definitely hook stuff on the sides or in the middle like I did with the life jacket. There’s lots of openings so you can essentially hook things anywhere. Alignment is easy to manage, because you can aline it to the points you need it to be so you’ll be able to hang the shelf to any spots on the ceiling you want. (Obviously to the beams/frame of the house so the shelf is stabled and attached)

These are fantastic. Plenty of storage space, only wish I had more room above my garage door so I could drop them down a little. I did install LED strips along the bottom of the frame since these did block some of the light from the strip lights on the ceiling. Fortunately they plugged into the strip lights and work with the switch.

The only struggle I had installing it was because my garage floor was full of stuff that I needed to store, hence why I purchased two of these. I did knock one star off "Easy to Install" because one of the bolt holes did not line up due to a misaligned weld, and I had to widen that with a step bit. It happens, and that would not stop be from purchasing these again. If you have a 360 degree laser level, use it, it made lining everything up simple.

Install is not the easiest, but is doable solo. I was able to install by myself in about 2 hours, maybe less. I ordered 2. Both were packaged very well, but the first did arrive with some cosmetic damage. It didn't hurt function so I went on with the install. The 2nd, however, had some issues. First, there was a screw hole that was not fully tapped that I had to knock a piece of metal out of and then fix with a tap & die set I had, then there were a couple of holes for the support brackets that didnt line up with the holes on the bracket.

Overall, these are well worth the money. I would have given 5 stars if not for the QC issues on the 2nd rack

I recently purchased the FLEXIMOUNTS 4x8 Overhead Garage Storage Rack, and it has been a game-changer for our garage organization. Here's why I love it:

Firstly, installation was surprisingly straightforward. The instructions were clear, and with the help of a friend, we had it up and ready in 1.5 hours.

I installed the rack above my roll up garage door. For extra rigidity I opted to attach one side solidly to the wall, the header beam for the garage. With the 2pack, it gives you 4ft x 16ft of shelf space (2 car garage). It installed smoothly and I was able to do it alone without assistance. It looks great. The build quality and finish is very good as well.

The first thing I did, predicated upon some of the reviews that complained about missing parts, was to confirm that all parts were present, they were. I laid them out and then made the decision on whether to mount the shelves perpendicular or not. My ceiling joists are visible so that eliminated the need for a stud finder. That said, perpendicular placed the shelves along the far wall in the corner. I followed the instructions and they were sufficiently clear. After mounting the brackets to the joists, I assembled the down supports and the shelving platform. Next up was mounting the down supports to the mounting brackets. As noted in the instructions, it's important to both measure twice and mount once, and not fully tighten the nuts until the shelf is hung. Next was figuring a way to get the assembled 4' X 8' shelf off of the floor and into the support brackets. I was doing this alone and being 66, I don't have quite the upper body strength that I once had. So I devised a rope sling of sorts from those very rafters. Then I muscled the shelf into that sling. Once there, and centered, it was a fairly simple operation to get the shelf into the supports and affix the remaining nuts and bolts. Once complete, a final pass to tighten all bolts. All in, it took me about 3 hours from layout to completion. The shelf is strong and the floor space under still allowed for the mowers, wheelbarrow, pressure washer, et. All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase.
