    It works great. Internet connection was easy to set up. Settings are very easy too. My main problem was with the installation. I was replacing an old trane thermostat and the cables where different. I call a customer service from Honeywell that supposed to be there for help with that kind of issues. They told me that wasn't compatible and I need a Trane thermostat instead. I was skeptical about this and after study the cables I figured out and is working great. If anyone have the same concerns. Here is my solution for the wires. First, cable B go to C. Trane have a OT1 and OT2 and are not necessary for this thermostat they are for outside temperature but since this have internet connection, the thermostat knows outside temperature for your location. So I remove OT1 and OT2. O go to O/B. I have a heat pump and auxiliary in my old trane wires (W1 and W2). This 2 both go to Aux E. This are for Heat... I suggest before buy that you knows your equipment very well. And review your wires. This is easy if you have 6 wires. I was having 9. But at the end I finish with 6 wires too. (R to R) (Y to Y) (B to C) (G to G) (O to O/B)(W1,W2 to W2/AuxE)..... Display is very nice and is very good for programming your needs. Don't know about durability since is new but seems ok.

    Back when we had to have our HVAC serviced, I was told that there was no way to control the aux heat with the Hunter thermostat that I had been using for years. Back when I bought that one, my knowledge of thermostats for HVACs was more limited and since it had a good price and claimed to be able to work with heat pumps, I thought it would be a good one.
    I have since learned more about them and wanted to find a good one so I chose Honeywell which has been a leader in thermostats for years.
    I feel that I made a very good choice!
    Not only does it control the aux heat, it is MUCH easier to read (and from 15-20 feet away), has WIFI capabilities (with an app on the cell but can also use a laptop or tablet), learns your particular unit so it knows how long it takes to reach a desired temp and will adjust appropriately so that it reaches the set temp at the time you want and to beat it all, has the ability to have the background change to ANY color you want to match your decor (or contrast with it).
    My older Hunter unit worked well otherwise and I certainly realize that as we move forward in time, there are more and more capabilities built in to modern units, but the old one with a simple backlight was still dim and I had to be right in front of it to read the smaller details on it. Another thing is that the new unit does not need a battery to maintain settings and instead uses the required "C" or common wire for power. With the WIFI, you can set the schedule so you can still program it from the comfort of a chair.
    So far, I'm very happy with this thermostat. About the only thing is that I had to pay extra for a white unit as opposed to a grey unit which seems odd but guess the white one is more in demand.

    Have had this now for a few months and do not regret the purchase! It is easy to use and program, either online or manually. It is so easy to control the temperature when away from home! My former work place had Honeywell thermostats so I went for the same when I was ready to put one in my home. The app is very easy to use. Definitely recommend the purchase.

    I replaced my 30 year old thermostat. This is definitely an upgrade from my other thermostat. Installation and set-up is easy as long as you know the type of system you have and how the thermostat wiring is run.

    This thermostat is defective and Honeywell/Resideo will do nothing to honor the warranty. The customer service agent tried to argue with me about how it works and he is dead wrong! On a two stage heat pump system it will activate low/high/auxillary staging even within 1 deg F. It should not be activating the aux heat strips, let alone the high upstaging until there is at least several degrees difference. It goes immediately to all three stages and remains in this condition until the temperature is reached, then turns off. This is not how a multi stage thermostat is supposed to operate. It is junk. Resideo told me it will operate any and all stages to raise the temperature even one degree. I was going from 67 to 68 degrees with the outside temperature at 50 degrees. GEEZ. If you do not care about a thermostat that runs up your heating bill by activating all stages of your heat pump and your auxillary heat strips100% of the time then it may work for you. Honeywell tech says this is the way its supposed to work but my other Honeywells have never done this. They were insulting. They refused to honor their warranty and its less than three moths old . Just discovered the issue when it started to get cold. Amazon's return window closed in September so Honeywell has screwed me over. Run away!

    Straight-forward installation with terminals that matched my prior thermostat. Connected with my Wi-Fi easily. Clear, easy to read screen. Easy to program schedule using smartphone app. Maintains filter usage and warns on the thermostat when it's time to clean the filter. The app is missing the ability to check the status of the filter.

    This replaced an existing White Rogers previously installed thermostat where the up/down button had mostly stopped working. Did some cheeking ahead of time for compatibility and was aware of the C-wire requirement which currently wasn't wired in but the existing furnace control board & pulled cable had the extra wiring needed to add in. Controls are straight forward and easy to use, setup was simple and it asked all the right questions on first power up, schedule programing was also guided and simple. I could have gone with the more expensive model first but this seems to do exactly what I want and need for now.
