They have survived through snow, cold, heavy rain, high winds, and hot summers. Great quality sockets which make replacing the bulbs with standard E26 base bulbs a snap. Plugs on the end so you can keep stringing them or like me add a bug zapper at the end. A set of two strings for a total of 30 lights for $50 is very good value in my opinion. I am certainly looking to buy more in the near future.

I would however NOT recommend hanging them on their own cord over long distances like in the ad pictures. The weight and strain on the cord itself (especially in high winds) could shorten their lifespan. I ran steel cables across the spans and the lights are hanging off of the cable instead.

Bulbs are fragile and the entire string of lights stopped working 6 months after purchase. Waiting on customer support for one year warranty

We bought these for our backyard to add a bit of light and ambience. In that aspect they are great. My only issue with them is that the kid came with two 48 foot strings of light. They are connected in series using a two prong standard electrical plug. The problem is that the make and female parts of the plug are not a very tight fit so it unplugs almost immediately when you hang it up. After using some electrical tape and finally duct tape to hold the two together the circuit stays complete. I feel that the plugs should be much tighter or hat perhaps there should be some type of retention system since they have to be plugged in together to function correctly. Other than that very good but be prepared to correct that situation when you get yours.

UPDATE: I ordered another pair of lights and these were a better design and much more secure. A better and more robust connector didn't require any taping and it stays! I am pleased, but I'm wondering why that other design is still in inventory if works poorly. Make sure you get the design that clicks together securely. It's a larger plug.

UPDATE: Within a day or two of leaving a negative review (see below), the Company contacted me and offered a full refund. Instead, I wanted them to just send me 8 replacement light bulbs. Between a few daily communications back and forth, they kindly sent me TWO replacement sets, which included 36 new bulbs (18 per set) and two new light strands (each holding 15 bulbs)! It is rare these days to get matters resolved, but this company bent over backwards to make things right and very promptly, too, and I greatly appreciate that! Thank you so much!

ORIGINAL COMPLAINT: We have had this set for just under 6 months but have burned through probably a dozen or more bulbs already! When I ordered these, they sent extra bulbs, which I thought was really quite nice of them to do. But now we have burned through all of the extras, and it seems that every day another bulb burns out.

We have these lights strung underneath a gazebo on a timer. In fairness, they are ON daily from dusk to dawn, which can vary from 8 to 14 hours each night, depending on the season. We are lucky on one hand in that these lights are strung low enough that we can easily reach up and replace the bulbs as they burn out. But, for some who may have these strung up higher, this would get super frustrating having to constantly climb a ladder to replace the bulbs.
