5.0 out of 5 stars Fireworks, beautiful color.

I love this color. I was looking for this color in the reviews and didn't see it. So, I am leaving this here for you all. Beautiful color. I applied Americana decor clear wax on top. I was also going to do dark wax on top, but I changed my mind because it is perfect on its own. I have used two chalk paint brands before and found this one takes longer to dry. The paint says to wait two hours between coats. Stillwoth the wait for the color. The pictures are taken on a cloudy day, and the shelf is in a corner. The paint will look lighter or darker depending on the light.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best chalk paint
Reviewed in the United States on April 16, 2024
This is my first project using chalk paint. I painted my old dresser with this and it turned out beautifully. The chalk paint is super easy to work with and is very forgiving. You don't have to be super precise. It flattens out nicely. I only lightly sanded the top of the dresser. Otherwise there was no prep work with the wood. Get the rounded brush while you're at it. It's an amazing brush and I can't say enough good things about it. The licorice color isn't black but a dark charcoal. It came out lighter than anticipated but I'm glad because it adds softness. I used a water based poly to seal it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great coverage.
Reviewed in the United States on April 18, 2024
First upholstery DIY. The coverage is great. This color is absolutely gorgeous and it took the initial layer with dampened cloth to help it soak in and dye the fabric the second layer I put on a after it was completely dry and the coverage was great. I used nearly the entire bottle. With maybe less than a half cup left. Already ordered my second bottle to finish the second chair. Buffing/ sanding between paint layers is key. Definitely buy darker than what your original color is. I am sure you’d need a lot more pain if you are trying to go lighter.

4.0 out of 5 stars Paint peels on second coat
Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2024
I was really excited to try this chalk paint. The color is so beautiful. I started painting however, and when I went to apply the second coat, the paint underneath started to peel. So I removed the paint and decided to put a primer underneath to see if that solved the issue. After reapplying the first coat of chalk paint I let that dry for about 7 hours. When I started to apply the second coat, the paint was still peeling underneath. I have used chalk paint before and have never had this happen. I don’t know if the batch I got is just acting this way, or if this is normal for this brand. I really want to like the product, and I love the color but don’t think I would recommend this brand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks really nice!

Love the looks of my dressers now! I did two coats on these and still have half the container of paint left. They do scratch easily though so I will probably put a wax over them.

I couldn't stop eyeing the color Sunday Tea. Honestly, I wasn't even sure exactly what I wanted to paint with it but I was so inspired by the color I took the leap and decided to make over my bedroom furniture.

I got the 16oz jar and did two coats on my nightstand, 2 coats on a big lamp, and started on a buffet table that's been in my basement. I still have maybe a quarter of the jar left which is not enough to do my tall dresser, but I think it would've been plenty if I hadn't messed around with the lamp and buffet table.

I used a primer, but I honestly don't think it was necessary. To apply I used synthetic bristle brushes to cut in, and a 4 inch foam roller for the rest. The roller did leave some texture but I think that was easier to sand smooth than brush strokes. I also made sure my brush and roller were slightly damp, and kept a spray bottle handy to mist the piece/thin out the paint as needed. It was so easy to work with. I love that it dries fast, so by the time you're finished with your first code you can go right back over with the second one. I also love that it didn't have any funky odors and was easy to clean up and clean out of my paint brushes so I can use them again.

It's holding up fairly well, although I will say it's not a super durable finish. It does pick up scratches and scuffs rather easily so I am definitely planning to get some wax or something to seal & protect it. Compared to my experience using the really cheap chalk paint from big box stores, the quality of this paint is 100x better and well worth the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Gorgeous Color, BUT….
Reviewed in the United States on April 14, 2024
This color was exactly what I was looking for, it’s bright and so pretty! However, it took about 5 coats to cover the light green that I painted over, and it probably could’ve used another coat but I didn’t have enough paint left. I also think it was pricey for the quality. I’ve painted lots of furniture, and there are definitely better chalk paint options out there.
