    Last plumber I hired was $180.00 per hour. I'm not great at this stuff. This model is very similar to the component that I needed to replace. Flushed toilet, turned water off, vacuumed out excess with my wet vac (could use a towel). Took old unit out, and adjusted the new one to the exact same length. Installed no problem without any tools. Didn't need to replace the flapper - it was just a few dollars more than the one without the flapper so have that ready if ever needed. Or for any of my other toilets. Works great - no leaks or any other problems.

    Fairly easy for a non plumber to install. Take care to hand tighten the lock screw, reattach the water line, and flush away! Adjustment of water level in tank is also straightforward.

    Installation was simple, just follow the instructions (which I didn't do, what man follows directions), there is also a link on the package to a video version of instructions. The tank and the bowl fill quickly, and it is very quiet. I liked that there is a separate adjuster for the bowl. I recommend this product.

    I bought this to replace an old valve that was constantly running in my toilet. The installation was straightforward with clear instructions. The flush is fairly quiet, and it's easy to adjust the shutoff when the bowl is full. It fits perfectly and seems quite solid. There's no additional leakage after shutoff, so the toilet no longer runs when it isn't supposed to.

    These mechanisms always seem to get brittle and start failing after a decade or so, so you're probably looking into this as a "quick fix". While there are similar cheaper models on the market, this is probably as low as you're going to want to go. There's simple instructions that come with it, everything can be hand-tightened, and there's adjustment knobs for the refill valve, the float height, and even the flapper. Look no further, this is an excellent value.

    Easy installation, fit perfectly, work as intended. We do plan on replacing the American Standard toilets that remain installed here and upgrading to high rise Kohler brand however we are not ready for that switch over and needed to buy some time. These parts did the trick, we have purchased this twice, that speaks volumes.

    Had been using my shut off valve for a while now. Just never seem to have enough time to replace the inner workings. Got tired of having to always reach down and tweak the valve so I finally chose to do something about it.
    Only took about 10 minutes and now I have better flushing power, faster and quieter fill too. Even if you have zero plumbing skills anyone can do this! The included instructions are well done and this will fit about 95% of all toilets that are out there. Wish I'd done it a lot sooner but now it's done and I probably won't have to worry about it again for another 15-20 years. The flapper valve is much better designed (rubber) than my original plastic valve (yeah it was THAT old) and will definitely last MUCH LONGER! So for less than $20 and maybe 15-20 mins of your time you too can feel as though you have a new toilet. The only tool you'll need is a crescent wrench or a pair of channel lock pliers, that's it. Oh and a cup to bail out the tank. Other than that all you have to do is shut off the feed valve and remember to turn it back on when your finished.
    This is much better quality than the OEM original too in every aspect and function.
