I highly recommend this product and seller! We have very hard water in our area and the Sediment Buster is an easy and effective way to clean out the mineral deposits that form over time. We will be incorporating the Sediment Buster into our maintenance schedule to flush out the sediment that buildups up and causes problems.

I had a water issue that I needed to drain it and remove it. But the water stopped about half way. This was used and it though it took a little bit to get the tank un clogged, i finally worked and I was able to almost drain the entire tank. It is real simple but works!

It’s a very well made product,came well protected. Good instructions. I worked for over an hour and my water heater was still puking sediment. I bought my heater at Lowe’s about 10 years ago.i didn’t start draining my heater till it was about 3 years ago when I saw a YouTube video showing how to do it properly. Since then I’ve tried to drain it every 6 months. About a year ago I noticed my water temp wasn’t as hot as it used to have. When I tried to drain it I couldn’t get much water out and. At this point I figured there was a bunch of sediment covering the drain. A week ago I saw a video showing the sediment buster and I ordered on off Amazon. It came about 3 days later. I hooked it up the next morning and started the procedure to de-sediment my water heater. After the the fist blow of compressed air the water/sediment mix started flowing. The driveway area below where my hose ended was covered in minerals and sand. After about an hour of flushing I was still getting sediment but the water was much clearer and I figured I’d quit. All in all the Sediment Buster performed as advertised. I may try again an a few weeks to get some more sediment out. My water heater isn’t rusting or leaking. The heat of the water hasn’t gone up much which is a disappointment but I can’t blame the Sediment Buster for that. If your water heater won’t drain I would recommend the Sediment Buster it will clear out your drain.

I have a 12-year-old 50 Gallon Rheem direct vent hot water heater. our city has municipal water service that is con considered to be pretty good and does not require any other kind of conditioning. The tank is been drained/flushed one time but has never been cleaned more than that. When this product arrived, I got set up with all my drain hoses and air compressor in order to perform a complete flush. I set the air compressor at 60 psi. I attached the device shut off the water, opened a couple of it on the hot side and begin to gravity drain settlement out of the water heater. I took 30 gallons out and the water was extremely rusty and had sediment in it. After the 30 gallons or so into a 5 gallon bucket, the water started to clear so I decided to start using the air in the sediment Buster to stir up more sediment and see what I got out of it. I was simply astounded how much more I was able to get out of the water tank once I began refilling the tank and also using the air input on the sediment buster. After agitating with the air compressor, I switched off the hot water outlet and open the valve on the sediment buster all the way, and let the force of the city water pressure push everything out the drain. I cannot describe the amount of large pieces that were clearly coding the inside of the tank that I saw, passed through the clear portion of the sediment buster. I continue to cycle this process for about a half an hour probably six times. Once the water ran clear and I didn’t see much else coming through the clear portion I decided to stop. I can assure you that using an air compressor and cycling the high-pressure city water through the unit removed a ton of sediment out of my water tank. I would highly recommend this product. I’ve tried flushing in the past without use of the air assist and was never able to get much out. Again, take your time read the instructions follow the videos, and this product works great.

Sediment Buster was very easy to use and super effective..and..I realized what they mean by restrictive drain valve, because I had one! My water heater has one of those dial turn style water heater drain valves, and in the instruction video they talked about how my type of valve doesn’t let you get much sediment out. After I hooked up the sediment buster (not too tight or it will crimp the black ring), I opened my drain valve, and it was super slow and clear coming out. I pushed some air in, and it started coming out faster but still clear. I’m glad I saw the video because I replaced the drain valve with a valve that has a much bigger tube. Then I put water back into the tank and then used the sediment buster and SO MUCH white stuff (calcium?) started coming out in chunks! What I realized is that this tool helped me get my tank empty, and then it helped me pull stuff out. Highly Recommend!

Really easy to use and very durable. Used on a water heater tank hooked up to well water. The water smells bad and clearly the tank is just collecting all the dirt and stuff. The Buster broke through a bad sediment clog, and I got a short video of after clog was broken but stuff still coming out. Couldn’t believe how nasty the water was! This Sediment Buster is well worth it. The clear portion and full port make it worth the money. Good value and good instruction videos.

Does exactly what you'd expect, but won't resurect a sediment caked heater.

Honestly, this little device is amazing. I had the worst case of sediment build up, and TBH, my water heater is SHOT, but it still worked well enough to provide a method to clear the drain and allow me to drain enough to replace my water heater drain. I used with an air compressor regulated to 40psi and this allowed me to actually drain the tank. You will need something like vinegar to really dissolve stuff in the tank, but this will blast out quite a bit that is blocking your drain operation. This will extend your water heater's life significantly as it allows you to actually drain and flush if there is a blockage and you're a little behind on maintenance. If you're a schmuck like me that waits 7 years, then yeah, probably SOL, but it helped me too. Great product. Not a silver bullet, but definitely amazing value for the money.
