    just installed my new water and air filter for LG thin q fridge. I was silly to try the water without flushing the filter so yes it tasted bad. after flushing it about 10x (~30 oz each time) water tasted normal and so far so good. air filter got replaced as well. if all goes well, then this is definitely a more affordable replacement water and air filter for LG LT1000P (water filter model replacement)

    UPDATE! I'm changing my review from 1 star to 4, because these ICEPURE LT1000p filters actually do fit with some elbow grease. Thinking these were defective, I went to HD and purchased an OEM filter. When I tried to install this one, it also did not fit. So, I found a video on You tube which was very helpful. The key is that the innermost tabs have to be at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions. Mine were off by just a little, but apparently that was enough. My rating of 4 is mainly because of ICEPURE's POOR video showing how to use their reset tool. They show it on a filter housing that is out of the refrigerator, and the tool is shown to turn very easily. For me, I had to use a lot of force to twist the tabs to 3&9 positions, fearing I might damage the cartridge housing. But once I did, the new filter installed fine. ICEPURE's tool is great, but their instructions on how to use it could be a lot better.

    I had purchased the ICEPURE refrigerator filters (3 pack) for my LG model LMWC23626 from Amazon awhile back. Those 3 worked perfectly. I recently used Amazon's "Buy it again" feature. Although the filters look the same, THEY DO NOT FIT! I'm not sure who to blame. My pictures show both. The one at the bottom (RFW4700AB) is from my original purchase that works fine. The one at the top (RFW4700AC) is the "buy it again" ones that do not fit. The top of the filters are slightly different, apparently enough to cause the issue. ICEPURE provided a little "tool" that they say you can use if you're having trouble installing the filter. But that doesn't work either. AND.... I ordered early to have these on hand when I needed them, never trying one until today. Yup..... Return window has expired, I'm out $30! BEWARE, if you buy the ICEPURE filters, TRY THEM AS SOON AS YOU GET THEM.

    Exact replacement. Fit perfectly and works well. They even supply a key to reset the fridge's filter connector if it gets out of position.

    This is the first time replacing my LG refrigerator’s water filter. I followed the instructions that came with the filter and the fit was perfect. The instructions warned of some water that may drain out of the old filter and/or line, but I didn’t have any of that. The filter installed easily and hasn’t leaked a drop in the last month of use. A good deal at half the price of an LG filter.

    I would recommend this filter.
