The best part is the convenient clip—it fits perfectly in my shirt or pants pocket, so I always have it on hand. It’s super easy to carry around and great for quick measurements.     There are lots of things I need to measure precisely where a 25 ft tape measure or even a foot-long ruler is overkill. I keep a metal machinist ruler like this in every toolbox for taking critical measurements in small places. This is well made and a bargain at the price I paid. I bought two so I could place them at 90 degrees to show height & width for a macro photography project to document my wife’s jewelry collection.

    Having ordered a few of these over the years, it seems they are no longer Made in USA. Still good and affordable, although they are now a little thicker and the clip is a little…different.

    I little rough around the edges (literally) as I believe these are first stamped and later sheared so there is a couple of edges that are a little rough but nothing I couldn't fix in a few seconds with a metal file and I can't really complain given how little they cost.
    They are handy to keep around and the measurements are stamped with accuracy.

    This 6 inch scale is a good value for the price paid, but don't expect Starrett, Brown & Sharpe or Mitutoyo quality. It is not as flexible as the well known brands and has sharp edges that I deburred with a fine sharpening stone.
