I have always wanted one of these but never wanted to spend the money or had a good enough reason to make it worth buying one. I needed to measure a house so I could model it and do the architecture for it, so I bought this to make the task go faster. It is very accurate, easy to use, easy to read, the memory function is very helpful, and the bright laser makes it easy to know where you are pointing it. I have not tried it outdoors or over very long distances but it works great for measuring rooms in a house. The pouch makes it easy to carry around. The only thing I wish it had was a rechargeable battery so I didn't have to worry about bringing AAA with me just in case.

I've been really impressed with the accuracy of this unit. Measures appear to be well within the 1/16-inch tolerances. And unlike some other units on the market, this one allows you to choose from several measurement options -- inches, feet and inches, feet and decimal inches and meters. The only feature I would have liked to have would have been the ability to measure a slope, but for the price, can't complain too much about that.

This came well packaged with its own case. I was decorating a new house and needed a lot of measurements. It works really easily on floor and wall measurements. The window ones take a bit of practice to get the beam in the right place but easy enough to get. It will record your measurements with a touch of a button and recall is easy. It is very light weight, and versatile as it can be used on any job site or project (my husband's a contractor). You can do all the measurements quickly by yourselves.
It really is a great valuable compact measuring tool!

This device came in very handy for home theater speaker placement in a non uniform listening room.

It's not totally accurate but it's close.
I only used basic measurement. I can't comment on the other functions.

It's not very bright so maybe no good for outdoors, but for basic indoor measurements it's a no brainer for the cost. It's a handy tool for the money

I love this measuring device, as it keeps a history of the last few measurements it took by placing them above each other on the screen, you can switch the units that it displays even for past measurements, and I was even able to measure outside by just moving the garbage bin over to the edge of the house so the laser would have something to reflect upon and it worked great there, too

I left the accuracy stars blank because I'd have to drag out my measuring tape to compare to its readings but my purpose is more estimation than centimeter-level accuracy so I guess I am saying it's 5 stars for my needs
