    This is a great device, easy to use and extremely accurate when compared to metal tape measure. Makes one person measuring a joy. The laser red dot assures you are measuring what you wish and the level keeps you “online”. Great for estimating paint, tile, room size for hvac. Inexpensive but quality build.

    Very convenient tool to have, if you need to do measurements. Just put it in a corner and point it measure the distance. It’s perfect for measuring areas that may be difficult to reach. I checked the distance with an actual 30’ measuring tape and verified that the readings are accurate. Best part is that it’s cheap.

    Lightweight laser, easy to carry. It has the option to measure in metric as well as English units. Also, an option to measure either from the top or bottom of the device.

    Only con, i noticed is that the laser is not as bright so it would be difficult to use it in the daylight, because you won’t be able to see where the laser point is.

    It works ok. It's cumbersome.
    I just use it for linear measurements in feet and inches. Each time you start it up, it defaults to meters, so you have to reset it.
    It has all type of options for taking multiple measurements to computer area, which I would never need.
    Plus, it's very complicated to do that with the limited interface of 5 buttons.
    Its nice to be able to save measurements .
    Because it has so many options and many functions. I find it difficult to exit or restart a measurement. It's frustrating to operate until you get used to the constant need to restart it.
    The timeout is also very frustrating and is not adjustable.
    Also as soon as you point it in a random direction where the beam extends more than 196' it errors out and you have to reset it.
    We have another brand at work which is older and doesn't have so many options and only measures to 60'. But I actually prefer it over this one because it's much less complicated and doesn't time out in 30 seconds or error out like this one.
    I would say this unit is almost too smart for its own good. I probably would Not buy it again. But I'll use it for now.
    If I get another one,I'll look for something less complicated because I know it exists.
