It has USB-C charging, metric and imperial units on both sides of the tape, magnets on the tape end, laser with different measuring modes, and I like the idea that you need to press the button to hide the tape, instead of holding it to keep the tape opened.

The measure is a mixture of a rubberized material, plastic, and metal but appears robustly made. It doesn't take batteries but instead is chargeable using a provided USB-A to USB-C cable. The measure has a belt clip which is pretty standard nowadays and it has a beep function for button presses that can be turned on or off.
For the purely mechanical aspect of the tape it extends to 16 feet and defaults to lock in place which I found very useful. Retraction is simply by pressing a button.
The laser tape measure is fairly intuitive to use straight off the bat for basic measurements. I found it to be very accurate and tested it a multitude of times for distances up to 30 feet and there was no discrepancy. The display, although small, is actually very easy to read.
If you want to do measurements outside of a straightforward level measurement then I do recommend that you read the small instruction manual that comes with it. Apart from area, volume, and Pythagorean measurements, the manual also comes with instructions for self-calibration. I did not do self-calibration prior to testing and quite honestly my measure did not need it.
Overall, I am very happy with the way this laser measure performs and even though I will not be making use of its more esoteric capabilities I would recommend this one for consideration if you're in the market for a new measure yourself.
