After reading multiple reviews I chose those brand! I’m so glad I did. I went with their paint, wax, and brush. I purchased an old couch off facebook marketplace with the intent to paint the upholstery. I’ve never done anything like that before, but I’ve watched videos and seen it done and wanted to give it a try. The couch was cheap and in great shape the fabric was just very outdated and ugly. I prepped the couch by shampooing and letting it dry. Then I took a spray bottle with water and misted the fabric before applying the paint. Damping the fabric helped the paint absorb even better into the fibers. It was so smooth and easy to apply and such a beautiful color. Just the right color I was looking for too! After a couple of coats I went over it with the wax to seal it. I chose the clear wax. It turned out perfect. The fabric is a little still compared to how it was before it was painted, but overall after applying the wax it’s not crunchy or hard. You could sit comfortably for some time especially during a photoshoot which is what I intend to use this for. I wouldn’t necessarily use this for everyday use however it’s not as soft as a normal chair but perhaps over time with everyday use it might soften up idk. 100% will buy again and redo more pieces like this! Love it!

I couldn't stop eyeing the color Sunday Tea. Honestly, I wasn't even sure exactly what I wanted to paint with it but I was so inspired by the color I took the leap and decided to make over my bedroom furniture.

I got the 16oz jar and did two coats on my nightstand, 2 coats on a big lamp, and started on a buffet table that's been in my basement. I still have maybe a quarter of the jar left which is not enough to do my tall dresser, but I think it would've been plenty if I hadn't messed around with the lamp and buffet table.

I used a primer, but I honestly don't think it was necessary. To apply I used synthetic bristle brushes to cut in, and a 4 inch foam roller for the rest. The roller did leave some texture but I think that was easier to sand smooth than brush strokes. I also made sure my brush and roller were slightly damp, and kept a spray bottle handy to mist the piece/thin out the paint as needed. It was so easy to work with. I love that it dries fast, so by the time you're finished with your first code you can go right back over with the second one. I also love that it didn't have any funky odors and was easy to clean up and clean out of my paint brushes so I can use them again.

It's holding up fairly well, although I will say it's not a super durable finish. It does pick up scratches and scuffs rather easily so I am definitely planning to get some wax or something to seal & protect it. Compared to my experience using the really cheap chalk paint from big box stores, the quality of this paint is 100x better and well worth the money.

HAMMER
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing paint but their clear coat is terrible!
Reviewed in the United States on October 7, 2024
Paint has absolutely amazing coverage and workability. It self-levels nicely for minimal brush strokes. Color is rich and beautiful! Finish is durable.

But…

Do not top coat with their Country Chic clear unless you want to ruin your project!!! Instead, go buy some Mod Podge and mix with it with water to a thin paint-like consistency.

4.0 out of 5 stars Opulence is the best purple chalk paint
Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2023
I searched high and low for a purple chalk paint that would satisfy the type of color I wanted, and Opulence was the best option I found. I used CountryChic's Secret Garden before, so I knew what I was in for with Opulence. The paint is good, and thick, and easily applies especially if your brush is a bit wet. My only complaint with Opulence is that the color it is when it is wet is GORGEOUS - deep purple with a pinky hue. The color when it dries is not exactly what I wanted (and here it is darkened with a Satin topcoat - when it was bare it was honestly a little ugly - deep purple but with the grayish chalky appearance - third photo shows no topcoat) I really wish it had stayed the beautiful saturated purple/magenta-like color it was when wet, but when comparing it to the other purple options out there, it is still the best one. The 16oz was enough to cover my piece, with a little left to hopefully finish an inner shelf, but for $30 I honestly wish we were given more. Overall, I'm glad I went with Opulence and figured I'd post these pics and review since seemingly no one on here had purchased the purple. I guess I am little outside of the box ????‍♀️

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use and pretty :)
Reviewed in the United States on August 5, 2024
So.. I've bought a total of 4 of these things (2x 8 oz, 1x 32 oz. and 1 x 16 oz).
I went on a kick of painting all of my generic black/dark brown Ikea furniture because I was a little tired of not being able to see bugs on them.

I used this on both the shiny/smooth furniture and wood furniture and it worked well on both of them. It definitely worked better on the wood furniture though.

The paint was unexpected very easy to use and the color came out a LOT prettier than expected!
It was easy to clean off my hands and brushes and the paint came right off my clothes in the wash as well.

Overall, I'm very very pleased with this paint and will purchase more if I need any crafty paint in the future.

One thing that was a little odd to me was that the first 3 times (2x 8 oz & 1x 32 oz), there was absolutely no smell to the paint, which I really loved. But the last one (16 oz) had a slight paint thinner smell to it and seemed a bit more watery compared to the other containers I had purchased. It still worked nicely though and the smell went away in one night so I don't have any complaints.

I love this chalk paint. So many amazing colors and the brand is a higher quality! It is a little expensive for the size being a bit small. Coverage is great though and gives a great finish!

No sanding required. Goes on easily and covers well. I painted a small wooden side table only 1 coat required. Bright color. An economical solution for old worn out furniture

The paint was very nice but was very blue and not gray as I had hoped. Hard to tell from pictures sometimes so that's on me.
