Strong enough for tools or screws..

I purchased a couple of these for my beekeeping hobby, and also for the garage where I keep my tools and do odd jobs. The magnet is strong. It will definitely hold a hammer, though something with a handle that long is going to easily get flipped/bumped off, so I don't recommend it! It's more practical for other hand-held tools (pliers, cutters, screwdrivers), and of course, for holding a bunch of screws or nails in a handy spot.

I'd kind'a hoped these would be the ticket for hanging an impact driver or small drill from my tool belt but they really don't work well for that. My DeWalt cordless power tools have the EOM belt clip that is metal so it's magnetic. The magnet is strong enough to hold either the driver or drill (with 3ah battery) but they fall off once I start moving around. I'll have to say though that really isn't surprising. That's not to say these aren't useful. They'll securely hold tools like a hammer, 21" pry bar, large tin snips, etc. One is on the back of my belt and another is on the left suspender. I expect them to come in very handy for holding tools or loose fasteners. Due to the quality design and construction I also consider them a good value for the money.

Powerful magnet, exactly what I need for work but the clasp is weak. Comes unlocked often, and actually the lock/unlock icons are reversed which doesn’t matter anyways because it comes loose and unlocks itself of my tool belt anyways. Luckily the magnet is so powerful it hooks onto my drill bit or key ring or ladder before it has a chance to plummet to the ground. Don’t trust having it when working on roofs for that reason now so I only really break it out to hold onto screws when I go into tight spaces instead of trying to work my way through with a cumbersome belt. Both magnets in the set have this issue so it’s not like I just got a faulty one. Be mindful of where you have it on your person.

I’ve been in trim carpentry for over 15 years. Normally, I would wrap rare earth magnets in duct tape, and then go to my belt suspenders. Now this thing just clips on and it works amazingly. Tools and bits do not knock off easily whatsoever.

I’m the kind of guy that likes switches, buttons, and any kind of toggle/sensory thing like that. This clip has a very fun tactical sound and feel. The club is strong and tight. I will absolutely buy a few more.

I bought the two pack after seeing a similar product video. They are strong magnets, do hold a hammer and screws and full metal items. My husband said the work guys thought it was pretty cool.

Wow, these are well built and won’t fall off your
belt. The lock can’t be tripped accidentally. They’re strong enough probably support a drill. I use it for my pool cue chalk; so it’s probably way over overkill, but at least I won’t likely ever lose my chalk and chalk housing from a pretty servers accidental bumpings. Well made! Absolutely no chance of losing my chalk around the pool table, I believe. Just got it recently; so it hasn’t been extensively road tested. VBNE1?
