I love this shelf for the following reasons. It is designed well and holds everything. The power strip is amazing, probably the best part. Sized just right for all of my drills and batteries. Instructions were well written and clear and it is STURDY!

Now, where it needs improvements. First off the side storage is poorly designed. The drill bit holder is nit sized for each bit. So if a bit does not fit snug into a hole, it leans and looks like garbage. Hooks are OK, but nothing great. I think some baskets would have been a much better feature.

The first few steps of assembly (Power Strip) while not difficult may require some assistance while assembling pieces together. It is just awkward and will not stay perpendicular by itself.

Neither con would deter me from buying it again. Just improvement’s that could be made. Otherwise well worth the investment!

I love to be organized. But sometimes finding something that has everything you need in one neat and tidy place can be a challenge. Cue in hubby's power tools.

I love rechargeable battery cordless tools. What I don't love is putting the tool away and then having to find an outlet to plug in the battery charger. This keeps everything all together so you don't have to search for what outlet you plugged the battery and charger into next time you need your power tool. This wall mounted tool organizer does it all for you, except bake you a cake.

There is space a the top for the chargers and plenty of stations to hang your tools. On top of that it is easily wall mountable. I chose the yellow and black combination to coordinate with hubby's yellow and black tools. It is an easy build. It is very well made. It does the job it is intended to do! ORGANIZE!

If you are looking for a great gift that keeps on giving to your tool loving special someone... check this out! At the time of writing, there were three color choices...
1. all black
2. red and black
3. yellow and black

I am confident you will love this organizer as much as I do. Oh, and hubby loves it too! He doesn't have to find the lost battery charger anymore... it is all exactly where he needs it!

Nice, but too pricy!

This is a very nice, sturdy tool organizer and if I didn't already have 5 others practically identical to it (with minor variations) I probably wouldn't have thought it over-priced. However, since I do have others and none of them were any where near this expensive, I feel I need to take off a star just for that. Still ...

This has a couple of features I have not seen before that I like. The extra shelf layers under the section for holding pliers and screwdrivers is a thoughtful touch. My other organizers only have the one shelf with cutouts and invariably my tools--especially the screwdrivers--wobble around in the holes and turn sideways or fall out. The extra layers of shelving hold the ends of the screwdrivers and prevent that problem. The second feature I really like is the power strip for charging batteries. It is really handy to have a way to put all my chargers in one place and plug them in.

I do have a couple of complaints about the power strip, however ...

One is that it has 8 receptacles but the shelf beneath will only hold 4 chargers. (I actually have more than four chargers so in theory I could plug those in between, but the problem is there is no shelf to put them on. The existing second shelf is perfect for batteries--again only four will fit--but not high enough to fit extra chargers while charging a battery. So I still need to put my other chargers somewhere else, leaving four unused receptacles. I wish that the second shelf was designed to accommodate four more chargers with batteries so it would be fully useful.

Two is that the power strip itself is placed so that it aims upward on the highest part of the organizer. This makes sense if you locate the organizer someplace where the power strip ends up at waist to chest height (which is NOT where most people hang their tool organizers in a crowded workshop, because that level is typically reserved for tables and floor-mounted tools). That means that if the organizer is hung higher up on the walls where most of us would place it, the power strip is above eye-level, making it hard to see to plug things in.

I might have taken another star away for not thinking out the design of the power strip better, but the rest of the organizer is so nice and well made--and that 3-layer screwdriver holder is a definite plus--that I feel the problems with the power strip are too minor to remove a star. If not for the expense of this organizer, I would definitely have rated it 5 stars.

I didn't think making one out of wood was worth the trouble, so I bought this, and it works fine. I don't leave it plugged in though -- I only plug it in when I am working and unplug when I am not. These Tool batteries can catch fire ( google that)

Better than Expected

Many of these type of items arrive with disappointing quality. I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality of this one. Assembly was a bit "fumbly" for my stubby old fingers, but the final product was tight, solid and sound. The side shelves are of a heavy grade metal which has what I consider industrial grade paint. In the course of my fumbling assembly several opportunities to scratch the bright yellow surface occurred, and much to my delight, no ensuring scratches were evident. Everything goes together as it should, and once it is all tightened up, has a good, solid feel. I will get years of service from this well thought out tool rack and recommend it with the WoodHaven seal of approval.

Wow! This really cleaned up our tool bench. Having all those different chargers plugged in laying around took up so much room. Now they are nice and organized. We still have plenty of room to add any new additions. The power strip keeps the cords organized. These are a great idea! This is sturdy, easy to hang. We love it!
