5.0 out of 5 stars Safety and Comfort in One Package: Triple Eight Saver Series Pad Set Review
Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2023
When it comes to skateboarding, inline skating, or any activity that involves wheels and potential falls, safety should be a top priority. The Triple Eight Saver Series Pad Set with Kneesavers, Elbowsavers, and Wristsavers is an essential accessory for anyone who values both safety and comfort during their rides. In this review, I'll delve into the key features and benefits of this comprehensive protective pad set.

Protection:
First and foremost, the primary function of any protective pad set is to keep you safe, and the Triple Eight Saver Series excels in this regard. The set includes knee pads, elbow pads, and wrist guards, covering all the vulnerable areas prone to injury during falls or accidents. These pads are made with high-quality materials that offer excellent impact protection, effectively reducing the risk of bruises, scrapes, and more serious injuries.

Comfort and Fit:
What sets the Triple Eight Saver Series apart is its focus on comfort without compromising on protection. The pads are designed to provide a snug and secure fit without restricting movement. The use of ergonomic shapes and adjustable straps ensures that you can find the perfect fit for your body. I found these pads to be comfortable even during extended periods of wear, making them ideal for long skate sessions or other active pursuits.

Durability:
Durability is crucial for any protective gear, and the Triple Eight Saver Series Pad Set lives up to the task. The materials used are robust and designed to withstand the rigors of skateboarding and other high-impact activities. The stitching is top-notch, ensuring that the pads will stand up to repeated use without falling apart.

Versatility:
This pad set is versatile and suitable for various activities beyond just skateboarding. Whether you're into rollerblading, BMX, scootering, or even ice skating, these pads provide reliable protection. The set's versatility makes it an excellent investment for individuals who enjoy multiple wheeled sports.

Ventilation and Breathability:
Unlike some protective pads that can become uncomfortably hot and sweaty, the Triple Eight Saver Series incorporates ventilation channels and breathable materials. This design helps keep your body cool and comfortable even during intense physical activity, reducing the chances of overheating and discomfort.

Stylish Design:
While safety is the top priority, it's worth noting that these pads are not just functional but also stylish. The sleek design and variety of available colors allow you to express your personal style while staying safe.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, the Triple Eight Saver Series Pad Set with Kneesavers, Elbowsavers, and Wristsavers is an outstanding choice for anyone who values safety and comfort during their wheeled adventures. These pads offer top-tier protection, a comfortable fit, durability, and versatility across various sports. With their focus on both safety and style, they are a worthwhile investment for riders of all skill levels. Don't compromise on your safety – gear up with Triple Eight and ride with confidence.

Started rollerblading again at 32 and needed some padding. I'm 5'3 female and the medium fits perfectly. The wrist guards has already taken a few falls and has held up great and kept my wrists safe. I got the shaved ice color and it matches the picture perfectly. Great value for the padding

I got these to get back into skating as a fun summer activity, and these are amazing! They are super durable, the elastic is a little uncomfortable but I think it's just because it's new and a little stiff. They definitely have kept me safe! The colors on them are vibrant and they are adorable and fit really well

4.0 out of 5 stars Good gear for your average skating newbie

I bought the color Sunset on sale for $20 and I think it’s great for that price, although I’m not familiar enough with safety gear to tell you if the RRP of $50 is still good value. I weigh under 120 pounds and I’m about 5’6, and the medium size fits me well. I think I could have sized down to small for the wrist guards (they are the only item that changes size, the knee and elbow guards are “universal” size), but there’s enough velcro for me to get it on snug (make sure it's tight enough to keep your wrists straight!), although I wish there were a little bit more - if you weigh less than 120 pounds and are taller than 5’5, I would go for the small. Some reviewers have posted pics showing that the knee pads were super small and tight on them, so definitely check the user photos to determine if these are right for your body type. Some also say the sizing is inconsistent.

I’m a beginner roller skater and have fallen a few times (indoors only), and I’m happy with the performance so far. My wrists feel protected, the straps are comfortable enough to wear for a few hours and don’t make me sweat much because there’s no extra fabric on the elbows or backs of knees, and the colors are cute and vibrant. I’m not planning to do anything super dangerous, but I’ll try to update this review if they fail or fall apart the first time I fall on concrete. Having said that, I was looking for cheap gear and I don’t expect these to last forever. The stitching and material on the wrist guards looks a bit flimsy, but it's lightweight mesh for breathability. If I were a park skater looking for very high durability, I would invest in something more expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for small to medium adult woman.

First the colors and quality of these pads are quite nice. I'm 50 and using them for roller skating safety. They are comfortable and easy to put on. The wrist pads feel extremely sturdy and safe to me.

Sizing: I can see why so many reviews comment on the knee pads. They do run small. The sizing is a bit confusing because you are supposed to order based on your palm size only. This will determine the ideal wrist guard size. The knee pads are apparently the same size for everyone, regardless of what size you order. For reference, I'm 5'3" 135 pound woman. My palm size is 7". I followed the chart and it suggested I order small, so I did. Everything fit me just fine. I am especially happy with the fit of the wrist pads and elbow pads. I will say that the knee pads definitely run small. If you are woman who wears a small or medium ( approximately size 2-10) pant...then these are likely going to be just fine for you. But for the rest of the world, maybe not. They really need to make longer straps for the knee pads. Even for me (who wears a size 4-6) I was only able to secure the knee straps about half way over the velcro base at the front of the knee. See photo with red arrows where I have them secured. This is tight enough without being too tight. I mean, I could get them tighter as the straps are quite stretchy. But this was a comfortable/secure fit at the halfway point. Its perfectly fine for my smallish legs (I'm wearing a size 6 Lulu legging in this photo). But I can imagine how others might have issues securing the knee pads if they have healthier sized legs.

Overall, I think these are a very quality and affordable set of pads, best for medium sized adult females or smaller.
