5.0 out of 5 stars great for adults too!

This is a phenomenally made product. it gave me nostalgia from when I had a razor scooter as a kid. The big wheels are nicer for uneven roads, so you don't get stuck as often. I ride this scooter daily around a college campus, and it makes the commute much faster. Love the pink!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and practical transportation for (playful active) adults

This thing is a lot of fun. I'm an adult and I use it to shorten a 40 minute walk. I can do it in about 1/3 of the time on this scooter. I've rolled hundreds of miles on this thing and it's holding up quite well. I weigh 150 lbs and I carry a backpack that weighs between 35 & 60 lbs. So on the average day, I've got around 200 lbs rolling along on this thing.

I wear a helmet because you can easily get up to 25 MPH on this thing going down a hill. On the flats, it'll do a solid 10+ MPH. Going uphill is a lot of work. Usually I just sling it over my shoulder and walk when hills are steep.

If you live where it rains a lot, the rear brake doesn't work well if there's any moisture. In some cases, it feels like it doesn't do anything. But if it's dry outside, it does a reasonable job of slowing and stopping the scooter.

It folds up in about 3 - 5 seconds. I can chase a bus on this thing and collapse it while I'm on the run, board and ride. I'm pretty sure I look quite silly on this thing but that's okay. It reminds me of being a kid, it's that fun.

I ran it over some gravel one day and much to my surprise, it kept rolling. The gravel wasn't loose and the scooter slowed down quite a bit but it didn't stop the thing. I've probably ridden this thing 200 miles or more. The front wheel looks almost new and the rear wheel has lost a little bit of tread but not much. It rattles quite a bit when I'm just pushing it but once I put my weight on it, it rolls along solidly.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy one of these for a kid -- it would absolutely hold up to that. My only concern would be that the kid should be old enough to be responsible going the speeds you can get on the downhill with this thing. A helmet is a good idea.

Would I buy one of these again? Absolutely. This thing has paid for itself several times over. Cheaper than taking a cab and a lot more fun. Good exercise too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome scooter

I had a Razr scooter when I was a teen I thought they only made them for kids then I found this. I wanted something to ride along with my 3rd old son when he rides his bike this is perfect. Smooth ride, sturdy, brake works, and foot area is large. It does rattle a bit on gravel but all in all a great purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars You and your homies need this.

One day my roommate came home and said “you remember those kick scooters from when we were kids? I got one to ride behind my girlfriend when she goes for runs.”
I look into the garage and there I see it, just as I remember. Immediately, memories started flooding in. Ideas started forming. He tells me he saw it while trapped in target with his girlfriend, and it was only $30. I feel for him, we all know there is no “quick trip” to target for a woman. He tells me he already took it around the block, but there is a problem… we aren’t kids anymore and he had gotten the small one (razor A2, also we are 25 years old). He complains about his back aching, the handlebars being too short, the platform being too small for his feet, etc.
“Man, if only they had a bigger one for adults” I thought… “surely they make one…”

Fellas, I can’t stress enough how amazing this scooter is. The handlebars are much taller, the platform is much bigger, the wheels are much smoother, and it even has a kickstand so you can post up with the gang when you pull up. This was the best $70 I have ever spent. I feel like a kid again when I ride this. There’s no stress about work, finances, life, or anything at all. There’s just the wind in your hair and a smile on your face.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good basic commuter kick scooter
Reviewed in the United States on October 27, 2022
I hadn't ridden a kick scooter since I was in elementary school almost 15 years ago, and that was a Razor A with the small 80 mm wheels. The A5, with its 200 mm wheels, is a great upgrade. Rolls nicely (or as nicely as it can on the poor pavement in the areas I ride). The wheels are fine, and the stock bearings are good enough, especially after a break-in period, though I hear that swapping in a set of skate bearings improves roll (have not tried that myself).

The folding mechanism is easy to grip, but I find it sometimes frustrating to pull out of the locked position. That might be user error or a bad design; I don't know. The clamp for the handlebar height adjustment, however, is solid.

The fender brake and stock deck grip tape leave some things to be desired, however. The fender brake was relatively worn out after a month of light use, so I quickly abandoned that method for foot braking. The grip tape isn't awful for a commuter scooter, but even with flat-soled skate shoes, I find that if the shoe soles were even a little wet, the grip was already a bit slippery about three or four months in.

Bottom line: good for an off-the-shelf scooter, but could definitely use improvements here and there.

Well-made. Our 5 (almost 6) year old is riding it. Great that it has a kickstand.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for shorter adults and bigger kids

I’m 5ft 3 , medium build, and this is a great scooter for me. I fear the handle might not go high enough for taller adults so you might be better with the larger version. It takes small cracks in the pavement well but anything over an inch would be problematic. It’s easy to fold and the kickstand works well.
