I bought this for my 2 and a half year old. He loves dinosaurs so naturally loved this as soon as it was out of the box.

He played and loved the dance button (which plays a vengaboys song which could be a bit weird and inappropriate, luckily he has no clue).

The dinosaur goes forward only and there is no volume control so be prepared to be annoyed at the raws and the dance buttons song.

It did stop working after a while so I had to keep turning it on and off again. You get what you pay for.

Ordered one for our 3 year-old grandson in May and it was a HUGE hit. The battle part is cool, but I think he likes the dancing option the best. Who wouldn't love a dancing, musical dinosaur? Easy to use and navigate with the big buttons on the RC - takes a lot of batteries, but they last a long time through daily use.

He liked it so much and his 5 year-old brother and 5 year-old cousin both wanted to play. I ended up buying 2 more for the older boys on their birthdays in June and July. This is definitely a great gift for boys in this age range!!!

1. remote didn't work right out of the box
2. instructions say to 'turn on the dinosaur and then turn on the remote' There is no on/off button on the remote
3. instructions say to make sure the dinosaur and the remote are on the same channel, but nowhere do they say how to accomplish this
4. there is no 'channel' button on the dinosaur
5. the 'channel' switch has: A, B or C; however, none of those managed to sync with the dinosaur
6. lights wouldn't even come on showing power to the remote
7. changed batteries to brand new out-of-package batteries. Still didn't work.

I say 'beware' because to return your item if it is defective like the one I got, you will be charged $7.99 for UPS to pick it up or else drive to a UPS or Staples to drop off the DEFECTIVE item to return it.

Amazon customer service chat was super nice, understood that I live way out in the country and fixed me up so I didn't have to drive the 30+ mile round trip to return it.

Needless to say, I did not ask for a replacement. I'll take my chances and try to get another dinosaur from another company and hope it works. You know how little kids just LOVE dinosaurs and this was a birthday present for my grandson. Hope I can get something fast.

I selected Yes for 'was the toy suitable for the selected age' and I guess it would be if it worked.

Last year for Christmas I got this set for my nephew (5) and my niece (3). They absolutely love the T Rex. Whenever I go over to their house my nephew Gatlin always asks to play with the T Rex so we battle it out while he imitates the roaring noise.

Super easy to use, I recommend playing on a hard / flat surface so it's easy to move the T Rex. Zero issues, noise still works and motors still work after a year.

I purchased for my 3 year old grandson. He has become a dinosaur expert. T Rex is not as sturdy as expected. NO batteries. Come on, we order and batteries need to come with toys again.
