This takes me right back to my childhood! This is fantastic. I really didn’t even know they made them anymore. And it comes in a tin just like I did when I was a kid. How cool is that? The logs work out great they connect just like they’re supposed to and build exactly what you can imagine if you have enough logs to do it. I’d be nice to have a couple different sets with different options so that way you can build a lot more but other than that this was a perfect start. The amount along is pretty specific to what this kid has, but you can do to alternative builds with it which is awesome. Totally recommend this for anybody who’s thinking about getting me because they played with them when they were a kid with their kids at it.

Of all the toys we keep at our house for our grandsons, ages 5 and 7, the Lincoln Logs are hands-down their favorites, and they spend many hours playing with them. This set is an excellent addition to our collection of Lincoln Logs. The logs are made of wood as expected, but just about everything else is plastic, which was a bit disappointing. The kit is complete with everything needed to build the barn and accessories as depicted in the Amazon listing. I also liked that it all fit into a tin box reminiscent of the set I had when I was a child. This set is excellent as a stand-alone set, or, as in our case, as an addition to an existing Lincoln Log set, but I do wish that more of the pieces were made of wood rather than plastic.

I am so happy with this set. First, it comes in an actual lidded tin, just like when I was a kid MAAAANY moons ago. Second - these are the real deal Lincoln Logs, made with real wood. The notches are perfect, the same coffee brown color, and the feel of real wood makes building such a joy to do with the young ones. Finally, the additional pieces are plastic, which you would not think would make me happy, but it does. These are thin pieces, with thin legs and rails and roof pieces, and if they were also wood they would be shattered very easily. I love that the building is log, and the little pieces are also going to be durable, to keep this set going for many years to come.

What are Lincoln Logs? One guy described Lincoln Logs as the types of Legos that Abraham Lincoln would have used. In all seriousness, Lincoln Logs are a fun building set that teach children how to build in ways and methods that Abraham Lincoln (the president born in a log cabin) would have used. This is a barn/ranch set. It is an easy project for even young children. They will enjoy the work -- and they will likely want to build their own buildings with the provided wooden logs too.

If you had Lincoln Logs as a child and want to relive the fun or pass it on to another generation then this is the set for you. It is a classic building toy just like you remember, no funky new enhancements just a build a barn playlet that teaches the structural basics and allows for hours of fun building and playing over and over again.
