I few months back after purchase I took a spill on my bike going about 20mph and this helmet definitely did its job in protecting my head. The impact caused some minor scuffing and scraping on the side of the helmet, but the integrity of the helmet remained fully intact.

Despite the visible signs of the crash, I'm still very impressed with the quality and durability of this helmet. The outer shell is tough and the padding inside provided excellent shock absorption, preventing any injuries. I'm confident that if I had not been wearing this helmet, the outcome would have been much worse.

The fit is also great - it's comfortable and secure without being overly tight. And for the reasonable price, you really can't beat the protection and performance of the Retrospec Dakota.

While the surface damage is a bit unsightly, I'm still very satisfied with this helmet and plan to continue using it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality helmet for biking, skateboarding, or other action sports. It may have saved me from a serious head injury, seriously.

I ordered a medium based upon the sizes listed on the description but it was too small so I sent it back for a Large. Fits much better. It has some extra padding if you need to adjust the size a little bit. I love the Matte Blue color.

First to all measurement your head i got at first a Medium cus i decide it was gonna to fit but it was to thight for my comfor so i had to return that one and get a new one this time after looking for how to measure helmets in youtube videos i got the Large one and it did fit me very well. Im between 59 to 61 cm if it help you to decide but get your measurement first. Is comfortable, is safe to use, sturdy, adjust to my head shape, looks good on my head and have good ventilation.

 Super nice helmet! I am returning mine to order a small, but it comes with additional foam sizing inserts to help make it a tighter fit. Unfortunately, just wasn’t enough for my head. Color looks just like the photo and it’s super comfortable! Straps are easier to adjust with it off your head, but it’s not super heavy on. Would recommend to anyone looking for a new helmet!

Was looking for a not so nerdy helmet to wear on my e-bike! This one gets the job done and seems “cooler” if a helmet can be cool haha! It’s super sturdy yet light weight. It’s comfortable and has good ventilation!

The helmet came quickly and looks like decent quality. It is very similar in design and quality to helmets that are sold at other big retailers. We've had trouble finding a helmet for my son that fit. To ensure a good fit, I used a flexible measuring tape to measure his head. It fit within the middle of the range on the sizing guide so we ordered the helmet. When it came, it was way too small. It would not fit on his head. I measured his head again to make sure I didn't make a mistake. We returned this and bought a helmet from a brick and mortar store so he could try it on.
