Big nerf dart shooting gun. Heavy plastic that sustains all the wear and tear. Shoots great every time. Comes with the nerf darts that are made great. The kids love it! Great for adults too.

These Elite Strongarms are great beginner Nerf guns. They don't require batteries, they aren't too hard to load and cock, they are relatively inexpensive, and they have been reliable. I have also purchased the Nerf Triad Ex-3 (similar to the Nerf Jolt), and the Nerf Modulus (a battery powered magazine loading gun).

Pros:
They are inexpensive compared to the battery guns. The Triads were cheaper, but only held 3 shots, and 2 of 3 stopped working after half a year.
They have been reliable. I initially bought 2 in 2018 , as in my experience Nerf guns don't always work out of the box. Both are still going strong, and I bought 2 more as gifts last Christmas, both of which also performed great out of the box.
No battery needed.
No need to wait for the electronics to spool up before firing.
Accurate as any unmodded Nerf gun I have used.

Cons:
To cock the gun, one needs some grip strength (as opposed to a battery gun). A 6yo shouldn't have too much of a problem, but a 4yo probably would not be able to.
They only hold six shots, and you reload by inserting the darts in a swing out cylinder, which is kind of slow. So choose your opponents wisely...

Other:
These are also fun to fiddle with, as they have both a cylinder that releases and flips out, as well as a slide that you can cock. Also, although my Strongarms have been reliable, the swing out cylinder might be a weak point for a child who excels at breaking things.
Also, I purchased mine through Amazon, so they came in a generic looking cardboard box. Only important if you want someone to think you spent more money than you actually did... :D

Great gun, easy to load, decent rate of fire, and good range for target shooting. I have a big tub of a few hundred days of various colors and densities and I've noticed that some darts work better than others. The better darts jam less and fly further enough that I keep those separate just for this gun. Jams are 90% from user error. When loading, you must push them in fully, and when racking the slide, you definitely need the full range of motion. Do those two things consistently and your time with this toy will be much more fun and rewarding.

A girl on TikTok has a series about kids toys for cats. She reviewed a different Nerf gun and recommended the human Nerf gun for cats. So of course I had to order one. Two of my three cats seem to really like it. At only $10 it's a valuable cat toy. Plus I get to relive my childhood and it's purple with pink darts. So cute, so demure. It's so easy to use and does not jam.

It has been ages since I have used a Nerf product- mostly footballs. After some amazing sales this Black Friday, I jumped on a few of these Nerf blasters and I'm glad I did. I have purchased four different blasters, so I hope I can give some insight on the operations, accuracy, and fun factor.

I have used the Strong Arm Blaster (this item), Zombie Strike Crossfire Bow Blaster, Zombie Strike Slingfire Blaster, and the Zombie Strike Hammershot Blaster.

For those considering a Nerf blaster for young children (Box states toy is for ages 8 and up), I would suggest the Zombie Strike Hammershot Blaster instead of this item. Both are hand guns, but the Strong Arm has a revolver cylinder that needs to be pushed out to reload the chambers. This process to reload increases the chance of breaking a portion of the blaster or potential for not fully seating the darts (foam tip not suction tip). In contrast, the Hammershot's cylinder does not pull out, so children only roll the cylinder and push in each dart- no mechanism hassles. The Crossfire Bow Blaster also has a simplistic method to push in the darts, but lacks the accuracy of the Strong Arm and Hammershot- user needs to consistently aim above the target after each consecutive dart due to the placement of the darts. For fun factor, the Crossfire will be a hit for small children, but the child with the hammershot will have the advantage in distance and accuracy (not to mention a better looking blaster- I think the Zombie series has more style than the Elite series).

To fire the Strong arm, pull the slider back until it locks (grey slider above the handle). The cylinder will turn slightly to place the cylinder in-line. Pull the trigger and you're done. The Hammershot differs in that it has a hammer instead of a slider that you cock back like a revolver.

Where the Strong arm shines is the power and accuracy. It does appear to shoot farther than the other blasters mentioned- followed closely by the Hammershot. The Zombie Slingfire is a great looking blaster (more detail and style), but darts lack the speed and accuracy compared to the Strong Arm and Hammershot. The lever-action of the Slingfire is flimsy, so I am concerned with the longevity. I can easily see children snapping the lever off after normal abuse.

I never had a jamming issue on any of the Nerf blasters I have purchased. It is likely I have not used them enough to have a good test on longevity of the darts- shots fired where indoors. Ordering extra darts is a must. I hope this helps.

The product itself was nice, but as it was a gift for my granddaughter I would have like to have kept it in the packaging, the problem was the packaging was brown cardboard no nerf logo and it smelled so bad like vomit that it gagged me, so I had to take the gun out and put it in a gift bag
