    I first got these to replace my stock laces that came with my Riedell Orbits, since those laces were very slippery and were already fraying alightly after just a few skating sessions. The Derby laces stay tight much better and are easier to lace up since they are lightly waxed. I love them, they are a great upgrade to your skates at a very reasonable cost. I got the 108" length, there is some excess but I wind it back down the hooks twice and then tie the bow (the next length down would have been too short). I have skated a few times since switching and no signs of wear yet. The color is also perfect (I got Hot Magenta). I wouldn't skate without these laces now!

    Update: It's been a few months now and the skate laces are still great. I decided to get some laces (72") for my Converse shoes as well. I have a brand new pair that I got Hot Magenta and Lime Green for and a 2 year old pair that I cleaned the scuffs off with a magic eraser and then put the new white Derby laces on. They now look almost as good as new!

    These laces are amazing and incredibly affordable! I already have a pair of the black/rainbow laces on the way and I’ll be ordering more colors in the future.
    Most laces I found that were long enough for my boots were almost double the price and boring. These seem to be high quality so far and I love that there are so many color options in laces long enough for 12 eyelet boots. I got the 96 inch but the 84 inch would definitely have been long enough for 12 eyes. Oh, and I got an awesome sticker with my order!

    Absolutely love using wax laces on my figure skates, as they help prevent slippage on tightness while skating. These laces are awesome quality and look great, something that makes me extremely happy.

    I wish Derby Laces offered more of the fun patterns in the longer length offerings. These are a fun way to make a statement on the ice.

    I am loving my new laces.

    I ordered 3 different colors. These are the Lime Green ones. I also bought a pair of white and a pair of fluorescent Orange. They are 134 inch.

    The laces feel nice and strong. Laced up pretty easy and they look great.

    The order arrived one day earlier than expected and that's always nice.

    Laces are really great and are nice and smooth. Only downside is that lace aglet needs reinforcement. It's too skinny and not durable. Only reason I scored it a 4.
