There are a couple "free item" reviews for this product, so I was a bit nervous to order it. I actually purchased the card box holder for one of my commander decks. Here's what I have to say about it:
PROS:
1) The box is really nice quality. The exterior has a nice leather-rubbery texture to it. It seems like it will be easy to clean if needed and just looks appealing. The interior has a soft felt lining - I can see it getting dirty/gathering dust in the distant future, but for now it's clean and exactly what I was looking for. Even the stitching is very well done, and I noticed no snags or snares. Last, the individual compartments are sturdy and flush with each other (no weird noticeable gaps).
2) It fits everything! I have my deck single-sleeved, and it fits all my cards, tokens, and sideboard no problem. I'd imagine it would comfortably fit a double-sleeved deck as well. You would probably get a little tight on extra space for tokens/sideboard, but it would definitely fit a 100-card deck (length, width, and depth). The dividers it comes with are also nice to separate cards as needed.
3) The extras. The side-display for your commander is such a nice touch. My deck came with an extra thick commander card, so I'm able to slip it in the hard-plastic case and never need to pull it out. If you do need to remove your commander card, the case comes apart magnetically so it's no biggy. Also, it fits your commander with a perfect fit sleeve, but not with any larger sleeves. It even says it's UV resistant, but only time will tell whether that's true or not. The product also came with a base, to hold the commander display. Finally, they threw in a small micro-fiber towel which was a nice gesture.
4) The magnets. Who doesn't love strong, quality magnets?
CONS:
1) The fold-away top cover is designed to fold in on itself so you can prop up your case at an angle (look at the product information images). The only issue is if you do that, it sits on top of the felt material, which I'd imagine would accrue dirt and stains quickly. I was able to tilt it at a steeper angle and have it sit on the PU leather rather than the felt, but it barely balances and any small breeze tips it over. I probably will just keep it lying flat and not worry about tipping it at an angle.
2) The dice tower launches your dice. I actually find it fun to have a D20 launch ramp, but I can imagine some people finding it irritating to have their dice flying off the edge of the table.
So far, I can't say I find anything else I dislike about this thing. It's everything I was hoping it would be, and I can definitely see myself purchasing more in the future. It might be a little large for some people, but I really enjoy the heftiness of it; for the price, it's really surprised me. I am definitely a happy customer!
