5.0 out of 5 stars game-changer for our family
Reviewed in the United States on April 8, 2024
This bike has been a game-changer for our family. The quality and craftsmanship are exceptional, providing both safety and durability for our little one's adventures.

The adjustable seat and handlebars make it easy to customize the bike to fit our child perfectly as they grow. Plus, the vibrant colors and sleek design make it a standout on the sidewalk.

But what truly sets this bike apart is its ease of use and smooth ride. The training wheels provided excellent stability for our beginner rider, and as they gained confidence, transitioning to riding without them was a breeze.

Not only has this bike provided endless hours of fun and excitement for our child, but it has also helped them develop essential motor skills and confidence. I highly recommend the Royalbaby Freestyle Kids Bike to any parent looking for a quality, reliable bike for their little one's adventures!

5.0 out of 5 stars Grandson's 1st real bike

This bicycle is built with quality. I'm buying another for my 3 year old grand daughter because it was so nice. He loved it and told everyone that night at the restaurant " I got a blue bike for my birthday".

Easy to assemble, came on time. Box was a little damaged, but the bike was untouched. Nice adjustable seat and traing handle to help him with balance and push off after the training wheels come off.
Nice Bicycle. His younger siblings can use it. It's built to last.

Easy to assemble, my five year old daughter loves it. Seems sturdy, heavy but easy to pedal. Breaks work great, the bell is a nice addition and the water bottle as well.

Nice, pretty easy to assemble STURDY bike. Unfortunately this bike is very heavy and my 5 year old struggles with balancing it as it is very heavy. We also purchased the 12 inch one for my 3 year old, it’s also hard for my 5 year old but obviously easier than this one.

The pedals & training wheels are pretty easy to remove, so we’ve done that and are working on learning to balance it. Both my kids are extremely good at their balance bikes and we thought they’d transition very easily to pedals but believe the weight of the bike is holding them back.

5.0 out of 5 stars All the reasons we love this bike:
Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2016
This is a great bike at a reasonable price. My son is 4 years old, 42 inches (106cm) tall, with a 16 inch (41cm) inseam and we bought the 14 inch bike for him--which turned out to be the perfect size. Thank goodness we didn't go larger, as we debated doing. It's hard to find 14" bikes in stores to try on for size, so I hope that helps. He loves his new bike! He went from a Strider balance bike to this one, so we didn't use the training wheels, but here are my thoughts on the rest of it:

1. Thick tires add stability. I'm sure the kids have to pedal more/harder, because of the added friction, but it's a great feature for kids learning to ride a bike without training wheels. We've gotten several comments from strangers about how amazed they were he was riding a two-wheeler and how much easier this bike looked due to the thick tires. (Some of his ability we owe to the strider balance bike, of course; it took him about 10 minutes to figure out how pedals worked, but other than that, he took off on this bike pretty readily. However, I think the thick tires definitely helped with the transition and continue to help him as a new rider.) Since his dad mountain bikes, my son loves going on the kiddie-level dirt trails "like my dad" and the tires on this bike are especially great for that kind of terrain.

2. Sleek design. It really is an attractive bike and yes, kids care that their bike likes "cool." (We got the white bike.)

3. Nice wide seat with a rim on the back. Comfortable, easy for kids to sit on and feel balanced and secure. This is something else I've heard comments about. ("What I wonderful wide seat!")

4. Two sets of brakes--there is a hand brake on the handlebars, and the pedal brakes as well. I mostly see my son (4yo) use the pedals, but he says he uses both. If nothing else, I think he likes that it looks like his dad's bike. It's nice to have both options.

5. I really like the the chain is enclosed with a plastic guard so he doesn't get caught in it or manage to pull it off. His pants don't get dirty and curious fingers don't get pinched. A neighbor kid always seems to have his (exposed) chain fall off and, so far, this hasn't been an issue at all with this bike.

6. The seat goes so low. Another bike I looked at did not adjust as low, despite being the same size bike. That was a MUST for him at this stage, since it would have been too tall for him when he was just learning to ride and needed to be able to reach the ground. Of course, the seat raises, too.

7. The bell broke in about a week's time. I don't know if it's because the attaching ring is just plastic, or if my son was too rough with it. That's disappointing, but doesn't affect the integrity of the bike itself, so...oh well. I worried that the water bottle holder, which is also plastic, would break with all the use; but so far it's held up great. Speaking of, the water bottle is a nice extra. Its not a make-or-break, but my son LOVES that he has his own real water bottle. He feels like he has a "real mountain bike" like his dad.

Other than the bell breaking, I would be hard-pressed to find any complaint about this bike. We can hardly get my son off his bike. He'd sleep in his helmet if we'd let him, just so he'd be ready to ride at any given moment.

If you're looking for a set of bike lights for safety, I really recommend these:
The Friendly Swede Silicone 7 LED Bike Light Set, White and Red . They're great lights, inexpensive, very bright, easy to attach or remove, have several light pattern settings, and they fit nicely.

16” is perfect for my son who is 42 inches tall and 42 pounds. He can ride it now but plenty of room to grow. It’s kind of heavy. It comes 80% assembled and took 10 minutes to set up. It also came with air already in the tires. Directions are almost useless though.

Purchased this bike based off inseam measurements. I have a small build little boy and I purchased this bike for his 5th birthday. His inseam was 12" and I decided to go with the 12" size and it was perfect and lots of time to grow with this bike.
