While this might be one of the weaker of the 4 lord of the rings precons, you can make it fantastic with just a few tweaks.

Lots of valuable cards and some fun mechanics with either a vote based commander or a crying deck.

For the price it’s totally worth it.

Of course, I’m a Rings nerd, so having a deck in this set was a no-brainer. I chose the elf deck because of my liking of the characters, not necessarily because I thought it’s the strongest commander deck. And it isn’t… but it’s not expensive to ‘fix’ if you do want to buff this deck up, and it is still extremely satisfying.

I went for a political elf ball with limited scrying, in my tuneup. Now this deck is a real powerhouse, going wide and tall very quickly and body slamming the opponents’ decks before landing with many heavy elf boots on the players’ life totals. So yup, I’m loving it.
