My one year old nephew loves it! He was just striking everything.
It's also very sturdy when put together. The green pieces on the side keep it from falling apart. He started flipping it over and it remained together. He even climbed over it at one point and it was still sturdy and fine.
Be careful though, the little ones seem to like to put the mallet in their mouths and walk around. Not sure how to fix this except to watch carefully and correct it as they do it.
