Bought this as a toy for my backyard baby pool. Like others have mentioned it truly is life like. It swims in different patterns. I gave the second in the pack to my 3 year old granddaughter when we were at the lake. She loved it so much she kept it w her all day long!

It swims for around 15 minutes. Then if you remove it from the water and place it back in, it will start again. This is good to stop the battery from draining.

I bought these turtles for my kids after they experienced a robotic turtle from their cousin. These turtles are very small (the size of red ear slider turtles) and are water activated. Meaning, you can not conserve battery unless you remove them out of the water. That is my only complaint as I would rather be able to turn off / on. Otherwise, the kids have loved playing with the turtles. I thought 4 of them (one for each kid!) and they love the different colors.

i bought these turtles and all the fish for my three year old. She spends hours in the tub playing with them. They have very real like movement. Only dislike is they died very quickly, some within a day of purchasing and i havent figured out how to change the batteries and kinda pricey to have to replace them right away.

I bought these and also the Robo fish. Both devices are kind of finicky on when they want to work. But the problem with the turtles is that they’re too buoyant. The fish will swim around underwater and the kids had fun chasing them around the pool. These stay only on the surface and I feel like they don’t swim as well. Considering these were more expensive than the fish version I wouldn’t buy them again. I would probably buy the fish again.

We ordered a tiny pool for our cats off of Amazon, because one really loves experimenting with what happens when she puts things in water, and she is very intrigued by bathroom water adventures... so we found a pool made to the scale of cats, for cats... and the two floating foam toys in it are okay, but these turtles move on their own, and my youngest went nuts for attacking these little guys, she really likes biting their heads? I'd say maybe be engaged and playing with your cat some, or at least keep an eye on them while they're playing, like with any child... but it was a hit for my water-curious cat! (Battery life seemed really good to me, honestly! I still bought a backup pack and a tiny screwdriver for these and the swimming fish, since I knew they'd be seeing lots of use.)

Removed the cover and found they had corroded. I guess the seal wasn’t installed properly during mfg and allowed water in.
