Shockingly quality doll!

When I got this doll I was expecting cheap plastic and a pixelated face since that is apparently Barbie’s brand now. I was very happy when I got her and she had a BEAUTIFUL face! I only got her for her head but even if you wanted to keep the mermaid body it is sculpted to look like she is moving, bends at the hips, and even has a cool see through tail fin. The hair is not good but if you keep it in the elastics it came in it is passable. I got her on sale for $7 and she absolutely was worth that price. Skip the fashionistas and get this doll!

Just love the long full pink hair and whimsical facial expression of this doll. She is so cute and, priced at $11, was a great value. Shoulders rotate with lateral movement but no articulation in arms. Tail has articulation at hips. Body has sculpted details that are painted in a color scheme coordinating with hair color. I put her head on an articulated body with legs, and will use the mermaid body in a custom product. She arrived new in box in perfect condition - very happy with this purchase.

Great Christmas stocking stuffer!

My niece is into all things Barbie, and for Christmas she requested mermaid barbies! This was an amazing stocking stuffer. The packaging was small and compact so it was easy to put in her stocking, and she absolutely loves it the tail is very detailed, and she loves her bright hair color. Overall a great Barbie for a 5-year-old!

I was on my way to purchase the new Odile mermaids when I saw this dear little thing and had to have her, too! I'm so happy Mattel is using the "Tori" sculpt again! I love those full cheeks! I also love side-glancing eyes. Her hair and eyes are a lovely shade of lavender. I love mermaids, but this one will get "rebodied" onto a MTM Barbie body for full playability for me as an adult collector who likes to redress and pose my dolls in dioramas and scenes I set up. Love this girl!

My daughter has had this for about a year the hair is still in great condition. She showers with it every other day and it is still in good condition. None of the accessories have fallen off.

I mean, it’s Barbie, how can you go wrong. Maybe I was looking at a different Barbie but ended up picking a different one but for some reason I was expecting part of her tail to change colors? I probably picked the wrong one/was confused. Only problem was, parts of her hair are really uneven. I do have slight OCD I think, but I need to pull out some scissors & give Barb a little hair trim. I love her colors & the fact that she is a thick mermaid :) happy that 20 years after I have played with Barbies, my daughter can have realistic body-positive Barbie choices. There were only skinny Barbie’s that did not look like me when I was a kid. Relieved that Mattel have stepped their game up and brought Barbie into the modern day PC era!

Would buy again- 5 and 2 year olds love her

We bought these to use on vacation in the pool and the kids loved playing with her among other mermaids. She is slightly bigger then a standard size Barbie doll, she only bends at the waist. She's sturdy though and made it a week swimming in the pool with 3 kids 5 and under. Looking forward to bringing it home to play with.
