These wooden puzzles are perfect for my one year old. The knobs make it easier to grasp. The puzzle is cute and colorful.

this is a great puzzle it is sturdy and has fun colors! i got this puzzle for my son when he was about a year old and he will be 2 in january and he still enjoys playing with this puzzle! ????

The thick wooden puzzle came shrink wrapped and in perfect condition. My 1 year old grandson loves it! It is such a great learning puzzle because it teaches through a picture of the shapes.

I almost didn't buy it because of the negative reviews on Amazon and decided to call Melissa and Doug company to find out if their superior quality had changed over time. The company informed me that the pictures on the puzzle piece are not painted; it's a picture with a high quality laminate on top. I decided to take a chance, and I am so happy I did. It is good to know from other reviewers that the puzzle pieces do not hold up to a long time in the mouth. (In my opinion, puzzle pieces shouldn't be used as a chew type of toy anyway.) My grandson prefers to put the knob in his mouth and it is reassuring to know that the knob is screwed not glued, so I don't have to worry about the knob coming off. My grandson did put the actual piece in his mouth for a few seconds and it did not fall apart. Since the puzzle piece is not a solid wood piece, I imagine if left in the mouth for a long time it could warp. At this age, I'm planning to use the puzzle with supervision anyway, so there won't be a chance for my grandson to use it as a chewing type toy. I highly recommend this puzzle. I also bought a Melissa and Doug transportation puzzle that I am going to save for when he is a little older.

Excellent quality! Great way to introduce puzzles to kids! The knobs are easy for little hands to hold. Colors are vibrant. Granddaughter is 2 & has played with it for over a year!

Love this puzzle with chunky knob handles. Only drawback is that the printed design doesn’t hold up to being gummed or chewed on by a teething little one! With supervision it is fine!! I’m sure grandson and I will enjoy for a long time!
