This mat was a lot of fun for a kid that is just learning to crawl. The sounds makes the kid want to touch other things, which develops the motor skills of reaching and crawling. A fun way for development!

I read that music is good for babies cognitive learning as they grow up so I got this for my nephew. To be fair he is a newborn, but when he rolls around on it he seems to enjoy it! I am excited to see him grow up using this. It is well made and should hold up really well to his baby strength. Though it is noisy so keep that in mind they are not going to be a musical genius right away and may take some patience listening to them! But the volume control works great so it is not overbearing.

My niece had a great time with this toddler musical mat.
It immediately captivated her interest and kept her entertained for over an hour straight - which rarely happens at this age :)
Music is a fantastic tool for building intelligence in children. The problem is they have to participate and be interested with an instrument of studying music theory to get the benefits. This toy/instrument is just the ticket to get that interest and interaction.
Even if it only gets occasional use for a year or six months, it is well worth the cost to give a child that extra learning boost that will help them their entire lifetime.

I got this with the intention of eventually gifting to someone after the 6 month review window. Upon recieving the item, the items box was damaged (not the shipping box, the actual product's box). The product inside was fine, however, and seemed to work well. The products box felt cheap looking, I'm not sure how else to describe it. Definitely did not have a "quality" feel. I'm not sure how long the product will last, but it did work just fine.
