    You will need to have understanding for how to download GBA roms onto their correct ROM folder. That's really all there is to it if you want a BEAST of a "Game Boy SP -type clamshell" (without it officially being Nintendo)

    GBA visuals are fine for most titles but bright for others, but the scaling doesn't bother me that much. I like how the resolution looks right out of the box. That being said, I can't figure out how to configure the resolution to my liking, and it doesn't help the UI is a bit complex in that regard. Other emulators with built in UI on the sme device are easier to configure, others not so much. All and all, out of the box this thing is incredible. I recommend buying a case for it, an internal SD card and if you needed one an external (but I dont see myself needing one as of now)

    Love the GBC GB and the even some N64 titles? This is the perfect device for you. I am re-living my childhood without having to carry around 70 game cartridges. Even some PSP titles work alright. NDS isnt the best but it could be way worse.

    The only major issue I would have would be that the system gets hot even while just running GBA titles. this is 9.5/10 rating for me.

    For a children's toy this may be a bit challenging. Would give to no one under the age of 12.

    I’m a big fan of the clamshell design since its what I grew up with (gba sp, ds lite, etc). Its a bit larger than the original sp, and overall build quality feels decent. Hardware specs are pretty good for the price, but you shouldn’t expect to play all of n64, psp, ps1, dreamcast etc perfectly. Nes, snes, gb, gbc, gba, ds, master system, genesis, game gear, atari, lynx, and pc engine games all seem to work on first impressions. Performance is very much emulator and os dependent though, and I definitely recommend installing a non stock os.

    I installed knulli and just network copied my game library from my batocera mini pc and had everything setup in less than 30 minutes. Knulli/batocera makes a world of difference and having all of the benefits in a handheld is nice.

    Only con is that the stock screen protector had some dust dot inside it, so I had to buy a 3rd party screen protector

    GBA SP is nostalgia for me so I had to get this. It really makes you feel like you're playing one from back in the day. Solid build. Emulation is great up to PS1. The clampshell design is my favorite and the battery life is decent. Easy to pick up and play. It isn't the best emulation device, but if you love gba, this is a great pick up.

    This is my favorite of all my handhelds. I have: Retroid Pocket 4+, Anbernic RG353M, Miyoo Mini, Steam Deck.

    Some of the others are more powerful and can play more games. But when I just want to grab and go, I reach for the SP more than any other. Why? Perfect form factor. Folds up pretty small. But the biggest thing is because it folds in half, it protects the screen and I don't have to tote around another case. It plays up to SNES/Gen era stuff great, has good battery life. Perfect for NHL94, Tecmo Bowl, and Super Mario World.

    I also ordered from Anbernic direct, the one i got here came with little felt pads on the L/R triggers, volume, and power. The one from Anbernic direct didn't. Also this one came with 2 screen protectors, i guess i got lucky.
