Got this for my niece because I want instruments to be a part of their lives. This is a great keyboard for a kid as it is easy to use and easy to read everything. It is sturdy enough for children which is big because we know how rough they are on things.

this keyboard is not tuned to A 440. It is a half step off.
I know it's advertised as a toy but it is of no use in my house.

Its OK for a toy. The main issue is that there is not a volume for the microphone. So its just on full blast.

We just got this keyboard as an intro to piano for our 6 year old and it seems to be a great bang for your buck (we can't attest to durability quite yet). He's loving the features - 8 tones, 8 rhythms, drum and animal sounds, really fun for him (and his 4 year old sisters)!! It didn't come with a manual but it's very intuitive and user-friendly to figure it out, no worries. It doesn't come with a plug, but nowadays we all have them for our phones and tablets, it's 5V so works with any you have laying around the house. My only negative is that the cord it comes with is too short to be practical. So, you pretty much have to use 3 AA batteries. But, for a young child, wireless is much better anyway. It's only 3 octives, but this means it's lightweight and compact, great for easy storage in the closet or even bringing in the car on road trips! We're quite pleased - great bang for buck!

The product I got was nowhere near as large as it appears in the picture. The image looks as though the keyboard is close to 3 feet in length (you can see in the picture it appears to have a long reach from end to end), but the one I received was only about 14 inches long... just barely longer than the key pad on my laptop computer. The little girl I bought it for has special needs and loves music, but I was disappointed in the acutal product.
